So I bought these back in September 2021 and just stopped using them recently. I regret the purchase hugely. The mic quality, audio quality and the comfort are way too average (even after tweaking some things in the software in the case of audio and mic quality) to justify the price point. Further more the dongle blocking a port is a complete joke. There’s better wireless options out there and I have personally gone back to a wired connection and opted for the pc38x.launch

PS5 headset. Another great video, a few things to unpick from this 1) the mic sounds great compared to the Pulse 3D (I had no idea the mic was so bad on Sony’s official headset! 2) does the usb C dongle cover half of the front usb A port?? 3) what is the 3D audio like on these? I have the pulse 3D and the Steelseries Arctis pro wireless and I can’t seem to hear much difference with the 3D audio. And lastly 4) what is that divot on your wall behind the PS5?? I can’t unsee it now 🤣 again great review, have a great new year!!launch

I went with the new 7p + only difference is the usb c fast charging and 30 hours of play time but it eliminates having to swap from cables for the seldom times I’ll be charging the headset still hate how wide that dongle is though it makes it a bit messylaunch

It blocking a USB is a massive design fail when they're already all being used by so many. VR and camera adapter uses 2 alone and the 3rd is likely being used for external storage. That only leaves the USB-C slot left. If you've anything else like a wheel to plug in there already isn't enough USB ports to play a racing game like Dirt Rally or GT Sport in VR. Crazy stuff also being micro usb at the headphones charging end when the DualSense is USB-C. I'd forgive them with the 2919 model but really for a £160 2020 PS5 specific set its not nearly good enough. Pulse 3Ds quickly become a better option due to connectivity options alone.launch

PC-focused users are disappointed that the physical volume slider for balancing game and chat audio, present on the original Arctis 7, was removed from the 7P, calling it a major letdown and missing feature.

They literally removed the best feature of the Arctis 7. The volume slider that goes between voice and game. What a letdown. I'm primarily a PC user and this has been literally the best part about this headset.launch

Only con for me is no chatmix, but that’s because Sony forces a licensing fee to 3rd party device makers for that feature so they can sell more cheap plastic gold, platinum, 3D Pulse etc headsets that break after a few months.launch

Bought mine a year ago. The microphone died all of a sudden while playing an FPS game. The warranty just expired in the past month. The service center cannot fix it since they lack spare parts. This is my second SteelSeries headset, and both were broken for the same reason. No one can do anything to fix it. So now I have two working Steelseries headsets with no microphone at all. My hard-earned money was wasted. 10/10 would never repurchase Steelseries.launch

I've recently bought the Steelseries Arctis Nova 7X due to it's multi-platform connectivity, the fact that it has a dongle ánd an aux cable for wired use and mostly, because of many experienced people saying it's a good headset. Sadly for me, mine has some issues and I don't know how to fix them (yet). Firstly, when I record a video on my PS5 and watch it back later, (EA FC 24) my voice sounds a bit elektronic during random moments every several sentences despite me lowering the mic volume to 50% or so because of the max mic level being too loud and my voice then making the mic pop. I haven't heard the many, many tech youtubers I watched mention this problem at all. The mic also doesn't sound like a 150 dollar headset level mic but more like a budget headset's mic. I've also used the Steelseries GG app's engine to adjust the settings, including the mic, to make them better based on tech youtubers' tips. The headset also occasionally loses connection with the dongle whether I use the extension cord with it or the dongle on it's own despite the fact that I'm only a couple of meter away from the dongle. My brother has the same headset and we use ours simultanuously on PS5 to make video's for ourselves and he has more of a static hiss when his headset is on while I experience more of a robot voice during every few words used in every few sentences. Does anyone have any useful solutions to maybe help make this headset worth it's cost?launch

I just got this headphone but the sound is not what I expected it to be... it sounds so flat and muffled , I tried playing with the eq settings on pc but it still have low bass and very muffled and flat tones. I’m not sure if this is what it’s meant to be like? Even on warzone the sound quality is very bad with static sound. :(launch

A user expected active noise cancelling given how the headset was marketed, and was disappointed to find it absent, especially compared to cheaper headsets that include it.

I just got a pair of the white & blue PS5 compatible ones. Good headset but for the price I kinda wish they had active noise canceling. I actually thought they did the way they were advertising them. I've had headsets way cheaper like 3 or 4 times less the price of these that had toggalble active noise canceling. I'd say the build quality, replacable band & pads & dual aduio feature are the only key features that kinda make it worth it.launch

Don't get these if you have a big fat head/a lot of hair like me. The band will not offer any support and your head will just be pressing up against the hard plastic once you extend the elastic too much.launch
