Dude, how do you get your S3 to go dark where there is a dark section of the screen. For some reason where there is dark on the screen the LEDs go bright yellow/white. I've tried everything but it just seems to invert dark into light. I don't like this. Anyone help me get it right?launch

All colors match except for orange. When the screen displays orange, the backlight becomes red and nothing seems to help. \nI have two wishes:\n1) The color of the wall behind the TV needs to be adjusted, as it greatly affects the accuracy of the highlight. This is similar to what Philips does.\n2) The backlight should turn off when the screen goes black for a period of time. Currently, there are two shutdown modes available, but neither of them work perfectly. In terms of brightness, they don't work if there is light in the room. And in terms of content, they do work, but they still react to turning on lights and take a long time to turn off (about 2 minutes). Therefore, the most logical solution would be to determine whether the screen is black.\n3) In the next hardware update, you can add a USB cable that will connect to the TV's USB port and read the voltage level. If the TV is turned off, there will be no voltage on the cable - the backlight will be off.launch

Looks cool but I still don’t like the fact that you have to place a device on top of the tv it kills the light effect in my opinion. It feels like when I got to a movie theatre and one of the emergency exit signs its placed almost at the corner of the screen and it bothers me cause it’s bright green and it’s a distraction.launch

I love my T1 and will be sticking with it as the T2/T3 can’t be used with mounting beneath the TV (at least not as easily). It’s all linked to my Home Assistant/Hubitat/Homekit environment and the colour accuracy is plenty good enough for me. Plus the T3 doesn’t seem to have 75 inch support yet.\n\nTip: Use the YouTube calibration video which has the 4 orange squares in the corner to save sticking the physical ones on your screen during setup.launch

I got one of their newer backlight kits last year. I had two of those kits years ago and they're just as janky to setup as well as not very accurate. \n\nPlus this is only good for a dark room. \n\nA hdmi sync box is far more accurate. It's just a putty lytmi stopped making their kit because the kit I had was fantastic.\n\nI do like the idea of the sync box but it would need to support eARC going into my DENON X2800H.\n\nSaying that I have a Philips 55PML9009 and that backlight kit replicates reds a whole lot more accurately than my TV. When those red colours are on screen the ambilight shows orange instead of redlaunch

Absolute crap product, it can be a pain to setup \"properly\" (many people think they set it up properly and haven't) even brand new it can have trouble connecting to the very generic app, and pairing the camera, I've talked to tons of people with the same exact issues, I see some in the comment's here as well, when it actually connected and all worked, it wasn't too bad but light in the room and reflections can throw it's colors off, even light from itself will mess with it, which comes full circle to proper setup, that's the problem with using a camera instead of something internal like Phillips Hue does. After a while it was plagued with increasingly worse connection issues, not being able to connect Bluetooth (which is required for setup) couldn't connect to Wi-Fi and not being able to pair to the camera at all anymore, it turned into a useless waste of money.launch

Ordered T3lite but quite disappointed with the results. \nJust to clarify the lights have been calibrated well and shows good results on ambilight test videos(because they have saturated colors in the videos). But on normal videos shows bad results, moreover ceiling lights adds to the problem, the camera starts detecting as white when ceiling light is turned on.\nPlus no proper home assistant support. Would be returning the product soon.launch

Terrible for a 75\" screen. The camera wide view if far too small to get the edges of the screen. When calibration/color correction is complete the image is always completely distorted and color detection is absolutely horrendous. Stay away if your screen is larger than 75inches!!launch

Thanks Paul, hope you've had a great Christmas. I got this as a present and came to install it but didn't have enough clearance between the front of the TV (I have a Samsung QLED from 2017 with the slim Samsung wall mount) and the wall to fit the camera. I will try to buy a right angled USB-C adapter to see if this will allow it to fit and post the result here in a couple of days. For reference you need 75mm from the front of your screen to the wall to fit the camera in.launch

PSA: My model, although labelled the same as this, has foam on the bottom of the camera joint. This means You should NOT put the double sided 3M tape on the inside of the joint, since it won’t stick to the foam. Put it on the outside and hug it to your TV. I don’t know why on Earth mine is different but I’m really p***ed off that I wasted the tape finding it out.launch

I just got my TV and Govee backlight 3 today.. and much to my dismay.. THE FRIGGN KIT for 55 to 65\" DOES NOT FIT MY NEW 65\" TV!!!! My new TV is the Hisense U8 Series (65U8QG) The govee is about 10\" too short... take my advice measure your TV around the back.. the 55 to 65 is only 11.8 ft.. I have to get the 75 to 85\" as it is 16.4 ft I am very mad because I am installing this on a TV that will be wall mounted and now I have to F with it after it's mounted. I can't wait . it has to be mounted now .. Really not happy with Govee atm.. I have their immersion 1 on 2 of my other TV's and have had no problems .. this is the first... I don't know why they got so cheap on the length GRRrrrrrlaunch

I ordered the Backlight 3 Pro, but I can’t get it to install properly. I’ve checked all the cables, and everything is connected correctly. I previously used the T2, so I’m generally familiar with the installation process and have never had any issues before. However, this one is driving me crazy.\n\nI always get stuck during the pairing process because I receive the following error message:\n\n“We detected that your light strip camera has not been installed or initialized. Therefore, Wi-Fi control and the video function are unavailable. If you want to use Wi-Fi control or the video function, please install the camera according to the instructions.”\n\nI’ve followed all the instructions carefully, unplugged and reconnected everything several times, and even tried a different USB cable, but I keep getting the exact same error.\n\nI already received a replacement unit, but it shows the exact same error, so I don’t think the camera is the problem anymore. It also seems unlikely that the sync box is faulty, since two different units behave exactly the same.\n\nWhat else could be causing this? I’ve already performed several factory resets/restarts without any success.\n\nCould it be related to my Wi-Fi? My router automatically switches between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, but my previous T2 worked perfectly with the same router, so I don’t think that’s the issue.\n\nI’m honestly running out of ideas and getting pretty desperate. I really hope you can help me figure out what’s causing this.\n\nThank you very much!launch
