This demo really shows the range of this amp. From Kaki King Fender-ish clean fingerpicking, to Ratt, to Sound Garden, etc. Thats's a wide range of territory to cover pretty much any gig. Most amps are good at one thing and mediocre at the other. This one has a killer clean, and mid gain and high gain. Which is why I bought one. : )launch

Nice job and congrats on the amp. It's a real treat. I've had this amp for about 18 months now and I'm still discovering new things that it can do. I much more prefer the clean on this as opposed to the clean plexi on the 100 having listened to them side by side. I think this is one of the most versatile amps I've owned in my life. Sometimes versatility means it can do a lot of things that will pass as convincing. This is far more than that as it does each thing in spades. As well as anything I've heard. Depending on the pups I'm using and the volume and tone controls, you can really do a lot without even having to touch the amp. Also, it takes pedals so very well. I use a Buxom Boost for a clean Boost and it's like an extension of the amp. A great match.launch

I own a BE-50 Deluxe and must say that it is \"World Class\" in every aspect! Gig it regularly and it never lets me down. Just a beautiful, dynamic, organic, aggressive, \"Marshall-esque\" but modded type of amp. Highly recommended! One point of clarification, however...the Response knob isn't a \"mid\" control per se. It's a variable negative feedback control. Not only does it make the amp \"cut\" more in the mids, but it also changes the \"feel\" of the amp. Also, I would describe the clean channel as more of an \"American-style\" clean rather than a \"British\" clean. It doesn't break up much at all unless you drive it to insane volume levels. If you are looking for a clean channel that breaks into crunch territory, check out Dave's new BE-100 Deluxe. It has a different clean channel altogether, with its own gain knob to allow it to achieve crunchy tones or clean tones with some \"grit\" to them. ANY Friedman amp is a thing of BEAUTY however....can't go wrong with the BE-50 Deluxe! LOVE mine.launch

Wow...I'm almost embarrassed to say I play the same amp as Sammy there...I'm def NOT WORTHY!! Regardless, the BE-50 Deluxe is an AMAZING amp that works equally well in a live setting or a practice setting. Not many amps can truly boast that. It's not over the top \"high gain\" but, certainly has more than enough for just about any genre of music. The difference is...it's all USABLE gain. Doesn't get mushy or squashed out like most ultra-high gain amps do. And the way this amp is voiced, it sits in a mix perfectly. Cuts nicely and maintains tightness in the low end...just a wonderful amp. Highs can be tailored to exactly how you want them too. Effects loop is without equal. Clean channel is really really nice too. But, it's a CLEAN clean channel...can't really dial in any \"grit\" to it. But, can just use an OD pedal for that tone if needed. Btw, the clean channel is about the BEST pedal platform I've seen on an amp...Dave really \"hit it out of the park\" with this one!launch

Users appreciate the Response knob's negative-feedback design, which changes both cut in the mids and overall amp feel rather than acting like a simple tone knob. This flexibility is called huge for shaping tone.

Listening back on good headphones, this is a great sounding amp. I am really thinking of getting this amp. I was between this and a Bogner Ecstacy. I really like on paper, the controls on this amp like the Saturation, Thump and response control. It's that negative feedback control that is amazing. I've had amps with that control.
