I have the Keylight Aie 2 of them & they never wok turning them on. They are on wifi all the time; the software can find them. So frustrated.launch

I just did an introduction to the Key Light Air, but now I need to do a follow-up because I’m having the same issue with connectivity. It’s TOTALLY UNRELIABLE and so ridiculous for Elgato to pump this particular benefit, knowing this is a serious problem. Love your humor, by the way! 😆launch

i gave it 1 star bc you have to have 2.4 ghz networking all of our networks at the office and cellphone is 5 ghz network. I just bought mine today and now upset bc I cant even connect to it. Return asap back to Best Buy ...its using old technology for wifilaunch

The included ball-head mount is called flimsy, oddly curved, and risky-looking for an expensive device, with one user calling it a 'sure-fired no-sale' and another noting it looks out of place on an otherwise polished product.

I got this light this week. The light itself is amazing! It was easy to set up, literally just plug it in and go and it looks great, I only have it at 50% and its bright enough. \n\nThe mount, however, is not good. If you get the bundle its only $20 more dollars, but the mount is just terrible. The ball head is flimsy, and for some reason they made it curved? It should be just a straight bar to mount the ball head on, right? Maybe that's just preference. \nIt also promotes magsafe mounting, but doesn't include a magsafe mount (which I would've known if I had read the fine print on the site- that's on me, though would not have changed my mind). \nI would just invest in a third party mount from Smallrig or something similar. \n\nBut, again, the light is fantastic! Also, the power brink is included but just in a DIFFERENT bundle, FYI.launch

The missing remote controls are a legitimate con. Especially, since you’re pretty much at the mercy of Elgato to update the apps in order to keep the lights alive in the long run. I cannot tell if the connection issues you face are due to I inconsistencies in the lights firmware tho. At least my regular Elgato Key Lights. Don’t suffer from it at all. Over the first year that I had them, I had to reconnect them just once. As for the WiFi connectivity: Well, you seem to be at full signal strength. So I’m not sure what’s the cause. As for the footprint of the light stands: That alone would draw me towards the real Key Lights, as they come with a desk clamp connections instead of that foot. On the one hand makes them less mobile, than the Airs, but since the power brick and cable lengths should be similar, I’m not sure if that is a real downside. What actually IS a downside is the small size of the Key Light Air. The smaller the light source, the harsher the shadows. So the big ones would give you even smoother shadow casting. \n\nWhat’s really informative to me, is how little light the cam seems to need. I am running my full size Key Lights at 32% / 60% to keep my Logitech C920 Webcam happy. And since the big Key Lights can output 2700 lm of light, while the Key Light air can “only” output 1400 lm, this gap becomes even bigger. Impressive. Thanks for the Video!launch

This thing is garbage -- the android smartphone app doesn't work AT ALL, so there's no way to control other than just turning it on. I don't recommend. Absolute fail. Maybe IOS users get better mileage.launch
