Although not the worst we've seen, this amount of unreliability in heart rate data wouldn't be good enough to support my training or racing.\nIf it's not consistently accurate at +-2-3 bpm, you might as well rely on perceived exertion instead of HR.\nCoros needs to invest in making their HR algorithm better.\nThat might mean burning some more battery in the process and being okay with the tradeoff.\nSadly, for many runners, wrist HR isn't good enough in 2026. I was looking for the pro or 4, maybe wait a bit longer for the newer generations to come. a note, I always use the pace2 with the cheststrap H10, never trust an wrist sensor for accuracy ;) Thanks for testing Rob!launch

It’s a strong signal when all Coros’ wearing elite runners are all wearing their arm HR band. Even with their top tier watches. To be fair no watch tracks HR like a chest or arm band. I wish I didnt have to wear a second device, the times when I forget the arm band I can guarantee the HR data will be all over the place.launch

I literally just got my Coros Pace 4 and I am pretty disappointed regarding sleep tracking. My Huawei Watch Fit from years ago is a lot more accurate. My Coros says I took a nap when I couldn't fall asleep and says I am still sleeping when I'm already up and about. Sleep is an integral part to training so I don't even know how this passed quality control. I'm not sure what to do now. I mainly switched from my Huawei because distance tracking and GPS was poorlaunch

Nice review 😊 I gave my corros pace 3 to my son; wearing the Apple Watch Ultra 2; I miss the corros; light and long battery life ; j always wear arm or chest HR band; corros crap at sleep tracking ; waiting for next corros pro update ; I kept an old Apple Watch SE I for sleep tracking at night; but Corros for every day activities best imho \nTake Care 🎉launch

I use the Pace 3, bought it due to reviews and it’s been great for a whole year with swimming, running, walking, heart rate, battery life, and decent for sleep tracking especially after they added nap tracking. It recently stopped tracking sleep altogether though with one of the latest updates so I'm waiting on a new update to correct the issue.launch

I feel so foolish for buying the Pace 4. I am incredibly disappointed with it. Had it two weeks and the screen has scratched already. I have had my Garmin Forerunner 265S for two years and the screen is still perfect. The battery life of the Pace 4 is quite poor, not at all what I was expecting, as that was supposed to be a strength. Nowhere near the level of features that you get in a Garmin watch, and although the GPS on the Pace 4 is excellent and really accurate, I don't think that makes up for the overall package being really quite basic. Maybe part of it is being used to the Garmin interface, but I found things like the scroll wheel crown to be really clunky and not very user friendly. I have already gone back to my trusty Forerunner 265S and will be selling the Coros at the first opportunity. Do not buy!launch

I have a PACE 3 and I wish PACE PRO did not use a mineral glass, something more harder and scratch proof. This is why I have also have a protector case my watch.\nAMOLED is nice but still on the fence if I really need to upgrade, however if this came out with something like a gorilla glass, I'll be swayed more to upgrade.launch

Love my Pace 3 and surprisingly I’ve gotten used to the MIP display. Amoled will likely be a great medium for those who have been looking to jump ship from Garmin but this watch just looks like a toy. That’s one downside with this one and some of their more colorful watches, the plastic used looks so toylike that it’s hard to justify the increased price point in my opinion. Also those colorful back buttons don’t help lol. Like just make it a neutral color if you want some contrast. Or make the buttons changeable.launch

If this meets your demands, great. For me, to be the same price as the Apex 2 is insanity, and I’d take that any day of the week over this, but I’m a backpacker and that’s what I’d use it for. Yeah, great screen, but we’re sacrificing durability (no sapphire glass or titanium bezel?) and battery life for that screen? Hard pass. At least it has offline maps, which is great at this price point, and it looks better implemented than the Apex 2’a offline maps. Still not worth it.launch

In reality, the GPS tracking algorithm of the Coros Pace 4 is terrible. I turned on dual-frequency GPS + outdoor running mode (don’t ask me why I don’t use “track mode” for running on a 400m track—I want the trajectory to reflect the real path). If you run from lane 1 all the way to lane 8 (switching to the next lane after each lap, from 1 to 8, then back to lane 1), and I run 5 km this way to relieve boredom, you’ll notice that the GPS path sticks together and does not match the actual running route. I have a Huawei Watch GT 6, and its GPS trajectory is much more accurate—it reflects my real path. Coros simply hasn’t optimized its GPS tracking at all.launch

Got a Coros Pace 3 to replace my 8 year old Garmin Forerunner 235. I usually wear my old and new watch together for several weeks to compare the data on my usual routes before trusting the replacement. The Coros climb/descent has been way out. Before the Forerunner I had a Polar RCX5 top end GPS watch and that was also in the same range as the Forerunner, and a later Forerunner 245, so the finger points to the Coros being inaccurate. Support have told me to calibrate this and that, soak the GPS signal etc - with the Garmin you just wait a few seconds for GPS signal and you're off. I've plotted my routes on OS Maps app (here in UK) which has 5m DTM (2m RSME accuracy) and arrive at very similar figures as the Garmin for m climb. You know how much you climb if you've run and hiked for many years. I just know I've not climbed 3x the ascent as indicated on the Garmin. When you literally done the same route hundreds of times with at least three different GPS watches you get a very good normal distribution and indication of accuracy.launch

I have the Garmin 245 music. I recently bought the Coros version sold by Decathlon. I’m using both at the same time to compare stats. For outside runs they are nearly neck to neck. But for inside runs the difference is quite staggering. For example on a 10 km inside run (treadmill or track) the Coros version always gives me a distance up to 2 km more and an average pace higher than the Garmin. Would you mind trying both your watches at the same time just to see if you get such a significant difference in running stats? ☺️🇨🇦launch

I think the problem with Coros’s price is that it really isn’t competing against Garmin’s latest watches, but it’s heavily discounted older watches. You can get a 955 for close to this price. Even the Epix (Gen2) is now on sale for $499. Both have far superior maps and a boatload of other features including Garmin Connect and ConnectIQ. If they could have gotten the price closer to the Pace 3, say under $300, I think they would have a winner where people will accept a lot of the disadvantages (like they did with the a original Pace).launch

I was rocking a Garmin Instinct for around 5 years. That watch saved my life a few times during land navigation, but when I decided to upgrade I went for the top of the line COROS. The Coros was cool but I found that it was not as accurate as my 5 year old Garmin. I took it back and purchased an Epix Pro 47mm for 200.00 more and I am honestly satisfied with my purchase. The Epix doesn’t even have as many features, but it is way wayyyyyy more accurate when running on a treadmill and the sleep/nap tracking is better as well.launch

Why didn't this review mention that the Pace 4's backlight has a ** hard timeout of 3 seconds ** after which it aggressive dims making the screen unreadable? \r\n\r\nIf you run at night YOU DO NOT WANT THE Pace 4, since 3 seconds is not enough time to read the screen. If you run using a multi-item data screen, it is literally impossible to read the screen when it constantly shut off after 3 seconds with no option to override it in any way at all. \r\n\r\nThey did this, I understand, so they could claim they have the battery life they claim, but it makes the watch ** unusable ** for people like myself who run in the evening and need the screen illuminate longer than 3 seconds.launch

what did not get better is the coros workout builder. I am really desperate about it. It is not reliable. Did not manage to build workouts without bugs mostly, there is so often sth messed up, distance alarms before the workout ends with the workout end picture and times, no reliable repetitions, suddenly having the rythym broken although one just pressed 6 x times on the same interval workout, having autostart on (automatic pause) workout not even working, maybe that got fixed i do not know, not to speak of the ridiculous time settings on the seconds resetting the time on the other side.\nIt is especially bitter for amateur athletes that do not have the time for these kinds of problems. On the other hand i do not know if other brands are better here.launch

Thanks for the video. I would personally appreciate if you could dive into more of the notifications and how they work in each of your reviews! I have a pace 3 sitting in a drawer because I do not like how you have to clear the notifications from both your watch and your phone. Garmin on the other hand clears the other device if you clear it on one! If coros could fix this I'd be happy to go to the Pace pro as the Pace 3 is by far the most comfortable fitness watch that I've owned!launch
