As a 15T Pro owner, the 17T Pro is honestly disappointing. The 15T Pro is a solid phone but there were a few things Xiaomi could've easily improved: weak 12MP UW, USB 2.0, subpar selfie camera, fingerprint sensor sitting too low etc. but they chose not to change anything. On top of that, they significantly increased the price without noticeable improvements outside battery. \n\nXiaomi fixed all said flaws of the 15T Pro with the F8 Ultra so I don't get why they didn't do it with their latest and most expensive T series phone. Seems like they intentionally held back this year's releaselaunch

You know what, I'm fairly dissapointed with the camera. In the scenes with a lot of bushes/trees, with a lot of small leaves they were turning into a digital mess. Also the dynamic range was ... well it wasn't, in one scene there were both overblown objects and heavily crushed darker parts, like the opposite of HDR. This phone reminds me of the Poco X8 Pro - same processor, same display with optical scanner, same battery, they just added a telephoto camera and doubled the price. Go back to the review of the X8 Pro, image quality and processing looks basically the same!launch

the compromises seem to be more hardware related than photographic shortcomings. \n\nWhen you listen to other reviews they all point out 3 things: \n\n- Photofinger sensor instead of Ultrasonic sensor\n- 2.0 USB instead of 3.0 USB\n- Stereo sound which is heavily skewed to one speaker compared to Bose Sound of the Poco F8 Ultra\n\nOn paper the F8 Ultra is the better phone, except it doesnt have the Leica development, eventhough it has the same cameras plus the better ultrawide camera. \n\nAnd now you are in this weird spot, do i want all these things, but weaker pictures, which is all a preference. Or do i care about none of that, and get the Leica branded cameras?launch

Shame it still uses an OPTICAL fingerprint reader, even on the \"pro\" model. Too bad since everything else seems spot on. Where I live, for 80 USD more you can buy a brand new flagship Xiaomi 15, which seems to be more complete with an ultrasonic fingerprint reader and a top end snapdragon chip. Though it does frustrate that Xiaomi keeps putting crappy 2.6x telephoto cameras in their base flagships. I guess you can't have everythinglaunch

I am a fan of Xiaomi since the 10t series phone. This type of compact phone is what I really want. Now it has all the camera phone I need. The only thing missing it is the telephoto must be 5x. 2x times is such a short reach and you can basically just crop the main camera to 2x and you get almost the same result in telephoto. Also Selfie camera should be ultrawide with autofocus. Thermal management in CPU should also consider. Apart from this problem, this would be the perfect compact phone. Hope to see it in Xiaomi 18. It sat full one hour at 1% in my case. You can do 15 hours of SOT or 19-20 hours with just browsing and youtube. \n\nThe UWA and selfie cam have no focus, but the telemacro solves some of the UWA tasks. \n\nThe biggest hate I have is recording sound quality. Either no bass with high pass filter or bass, but crippled bit rate. No solution, big fat MINUS. Outright evil segmentation. \n\nOther than that, an awesome phone.launch

I have noticed a significant image-processing issue with the main camera.\nDark areas are often rendered much darker than they appear in real life. I have the Xiaomi 15, and the big problem with this brand is that with every update, the camera quality changes! Exposure, focus, the difference between \"authentic\" and \"vibrant\" modes, contrast—all the settings need adjusting, and the quality isn't always consistent. The best version (the top-of-the-line one) that I kept as an APK is impossible to reinstall due to Xiaomi's rollback restrictions. Never again Xiaomi for photography!launch

3:39, 3:53 I don't like this shot. Composition is fine but image quality from the phone's camera is not. Leaves are an overexposed digital mess meanwhile details in the shadows are crushed, like the wall of trees behind the bridge is pure black on a sunny day. That's waaay to much contrast. That holds truth throughout multiple shots in similar scenarios - treelines, shrubbery, lots of vegetation. That treeline on the right at 4:57 is pitch black, there are zero details to recover.launch

It feels sluggish in multitasking has nothing to do with processor, Xiaomi has the worst optimisation,they never stabilizes their UI ever , My xiaomi 14 had bugs which were residing in it from the 2 nd update it got a 2 yrs ago and though 8gen3 is a phenomenally stable processor Xiaomi somehow managed to mess it up i realised it when I used OP13 R which is also a SD 8gen 3 ,OP and Oxygen OS is so fluid.launch

Amazing review i like your style, and about phone the ui is the most important thing , lately you can't go wrong with flagship performance except pixel, the ui is the main selling point for Samsung and apple.\n Xiaomi is doing, yet it's still needs to work on the ui, and i like smaller phones so the base 17 is my considered not the t pro, currently using 14t, it's gone but coming from Samsung ui makes hyper os looks lacking since I'm deep into good locklaunch

Forgot to say that xiaomi has ads and a barebones OS. Its music app has a tiktok like tab which is forced on you, mi viewer is trash or has ads and generally hyper os is really behind the competition and unoptimized battery wise, they are not even trying. Also, it has its own charge standard meaning you have to use xiaomi charger or powerbank in order to access full wattage meanwhile iphone uses universal pd. Thermal management of xiaomi is trash its system apps leave a lot to be desired compared to the competition. I have to agree that xiaomis cameras have become really good with leica and the telephoto is really good. Not a hater just an ex-Xiaomi fanboy who turned Apple.launch

Bought one a month ago after many years of using Samsungs, I love it, it takes time to get used to it, wouldn't recommend it for someone who hates to mess around in the settings, not as simple as Samsung's One UI, but I like to mess around. It comes with a pretty decent case, and it's one thing that the video didn't mention, that the phone is pretty slippery, I've never been a case guy, but this phone needs it otherwise it will slip out of your hand pretty easy.\n\nAlso you mentioned that you saw that some of the photos you made looked less some looked more processed, I'd recommend turning off the adaptive telephoto in the settings of the camera, it's on by default.launch
