i mean im kind of biased because camera is almost the only reason i bought teh phone exept for teh proccesor uppgrade. but its truly amazing in photos especially for ametures like me because its just a point and shoot, it just takes a good photo everytime with no thoughts, it also makes it look like actual night insted of boosting it to look like day. but teh camera is truly a carry for teh phones value to custumers, its not bad otherwise just worse than like samsungs flagship in temrs of UI and just proccesing power but as i have already said the camera makes up for it. to anyone looking to buy it for the camera: yes it is totaly worth it, its just fun to use the camera, like you actually get excited when you take picctures and get to show everybody.,launch

Super video as always. I am from NYC but living the last 30 years in Saigon where I bought the 12S Ultra last year which is still fairly close to the 13 Ultra minus the extra camera. I am very happy with it especially since using the manual settings which have really improved my pics. The camera grip is super cool but can’t get it in Vietnam so I bought something similar from Uurig for much less money which also comes with rechargeable led light. While I don’t dare say the images are as good as full blown Leica cameras… I think a lot of people are fooling themselves if they think you can’t get great pics from a phone sized camera especially using that Sony 1 inch sensor.launch

Bottom line..75-80% of people don't have a clue of all camera options and settings and how to use them. We are people..we always want and need the best. I love my Mi 11 Ultra. No comparison between it and the Samsung 22 Ultra. Quality is much better. My Samsung hit the cupboard along time ago. Volume switch quit working right away. Xiaomi camera setting were over the top vs. that Samsung. Will never go back to Samsung. Completely hyped just like the Apple. Go Xiaomi...launch

I've had an 11 Ultra for two years, and now I've had a 13 Ultra for two weeks, I think it's ridiculous that according to the Dxomark site, the 11 Ultra is higher on the list than the 13 Ultra. Since I have both I thoroughly compared the two phones. And even if the improvement is not huge, it is absolutely visible and it can be shown that the 13 Ultra takes much better pictures. And in the zoom range, it is the best in its category. Tomorrow arrive my Xiaomi Camera Kit also. Thx for this video 👍launch

Love your video content and subscribed! Love the fact that the 13 Ultra includes a 75mm f1.8 lens which is the perfect focal length and large aperture for portrait with nice bokeh in the back without the use of the artificial portrait mode. Wish you have covered more on this area since most of the time, we are taking photos of human instead of just sceneries.. Could you share more on this area? My thoughts:\nThe Xiaomi 13 Ultra is one the best camera smartphone this year. Well, the rear cameras have one of the most versatile camera set-up because of it has 2 telephoto cams and a variable aperture on the main cam. The s23 does way more HDR processing it looks like. Makes it look more dynamic during the day, brighter at night. The shots that benefit from HDR during the day (mixed lighting) look much better, but the night ones weren't great. \n\nThe edge goes to the Xiaomi to me and the fun of having the point and shoot form factor definitely makes it better.launch

Wow Flossy have to agree, pics during the day are slightly better on the galaxy (could just be down to colour preference) and evening shots are better on the Xiaomi. Both great for photos! But i gotta say the night time video on the Xiaomi is crazy good, looks two generations ahead of the galaxy!launch

i have that phone first, \"steady video\" settiong is not available in 4k only 1080p. At low light for photos, the camera will use 1/25 min shutter and when i set it to 1/5 in pro mode the photos came out sharp at lower iso. so indoor food for example better not to use auto mode. \n\nOverall my sony ZVE10 camera kill this phone for both videos and photoslaunch

Thanks for in-depth review!\nAs a fellow Xiaomi 13U owner I have some things that I wanted to add and some I disagree with, not saying you are wrong, just my subjective opinion is different:\n1. Going from Xiaomi 11U, this phone actually feels \"light\".\n2. Fingerprint scanner causes issues for me with my thumb. To be fair I have calluses on it. Other fingers are OK, but I don't use them that much to notice if there are issues as well.\n3. A bit more about colour profiles - the default \"Original colour PRO\" is the \"best\" setting for reference colours. I have compared it against iPad Pro (M1) and this mode seems to be the most consistent with what iPad shows. Compared to 11U, the default presets are a bit less saturated and tend to run more on reddish hue, while 11U appears slightly more green.\n4. The thing about brightness is that perception of it is not linear, so having 2000 -> 2600 nit difference is not the same as 1000 -> 1600. So yeah, I agree that it is nothing exceptional (for 2023 flagship). Important thing is that it is legible under sunlight if you pick auto brightness.\n5. One thing that I have not heard or seen anyone mention is that you do not have palm rejection zone at the right side in landscape mode (side with USB) , so if you try to shoot one-handed in landscape, sometimes part of your palm touches the screen and makes it unresponsive. Could be skill issue, but again that is how I usually take pictures, so I have to adapt the grip a bit from 11U.\n6. This is a stupid one on Xiaomi side - the street photography (fast shot) mode cannot be triggered if you listen to music, because you have to double tap \"volume down\". You can select it in the app, but the whole point/gimmick is that you get the shot immediately when you pull the phone out. I wish they have added a shutter button.\n7. There is a setting to reduce wind noise under Camera -> Audio Settings -> Smart noise reduction. It kind of sucks though anyway.\n8. Band 20 (wide area 4G, basically) being absent is an issue if you live in more rural area. Personally I had no issues with speed and connectivity, but I live in a city. So yeah, major thing to consider if you want to import.\n9. Also pretty much no-one talks about how good their Gallery app is. The editor is REALLY powerful. Much more so than free version of VSCO, for example. And easier to use than something like Lightroom or Snapseed.\n10. One more thing about heating under load. It is mainly on upper side (where the cameras are), so if you play portrait oriented games (like Umamusume, lol) it will be much more bearable than landscape ones (Genshin/Honkai)launch
