You're totally right !! I agree 200 purcent.. Between a tube amp and MV50, impossible to know which one is a vacuum tube or nutube. They sound different but both have a super sound and well react with all pedal. I use the Clean model with a Celestion Ruby 8ohm and Friedman BE-OD Deluxe + Delay + Reverb in front...launch

We use this amp all the time in our studio. It’s a bit of a running joke as “the little amp that could”, because it has no right to sound as good as it does. Full power into an 8ohm 1x12 is loud enough for practices and warm ups even with a drummer in our live room. It responds to pedals better than even the PRRI sitting next to it which is considered a standard platform amp. Frankly, it wins more in shootouts for recording than I ever thought it would. Edge of breakup tone is really nice too.launch

I love this amp. I have 2x8 vox cabs for bedroom/recording and it's a perfect pedal platform. Btw, you can jump bright and fat circuits with mini switches (that I mounted where the handle holes are). The fat is meh but the bright gives you a different voicing in the highs. Really neat.launch

The AC sounds great but I think the clean would be great for a all around backup head. They’re supposed to fit in most guitar cases so it would be great to have if you blew a tube or your amp otherwise went down during a gig. They’d be great with a lighter cab with a neo speaker for a lightweight rig.launch

I have the AC one. Just ordered the Clean as a better pedal solution. I also own a Vox AC15 and I've actually stopped using it. The MV50 sounds identical, with the companion 12' cab (Vox BC112), it is louder than the AC15. And it's just more reliable and durable and portable. It really is loud enough for any gig. When gigs are too large for a 25w tube or 50w SS amp, you should be Mic'd regardless to get a proper mix. Except you won't even need to mic, you can use the line-out to a PA then the speaker out to a cab pointing at your face for monitoring. \n\nI'm looking forward to getting my MV50 clean tomorrow. Might even buy a fender cab for it. Then I could also connect the vox and fender cabs and reach the full-potential of the MV50 at 4ohms.launch

Multiple gigging musicians report the amp, when run at 4 ohms into an appropriate cab, is plenty loud for bar gigs, band practices, and even performances without needing to mic the cabinet.

I've been gigging with this for the last 3 years. I use it with a 210 cab at 4 ohms to give 50 clean watts. Plenty loud for bar gigs even without miking up the cab. I found a second one used for dirt cheap, so I always have a backup. But haven't needed to use it yet except to run a stereo setup.launch

They missed a trick with these, they really need an effects loop, I bought one of these and gave to my Son and using an old 2 x 12 I had around, it is loud enough for Pub Gigs, for the original price, not good value, People should just get a Boss Katana, but massively discounted now. Is Beautiful Clean, agree, for someone who wants a nice clean tone, they sound fantastic, with the built in attenuator really working.launch

Hi !!!! great job as usual, superb video with a lot of fun that really helped me a lot to decide. I bought it as I was looking for an affordable pedal platform at bedroom level. I haven't had a lot of time with it but the little I had, I am absolutely amazed!!! The first shock for me is my MXR 300 Reverb sounds better in the front of this amp than in the effect loop of more expensive amps :/ !!!! The attenuator is an excellent surprise, I can have shimmery and crispy clean tones without waking up my baby daughter. Contrary to your video, my BE OD sound awesome in this amp 😊 Sorry, I just didn't crank the treble knob and I have an 8 inch Celestion speaker. I tried as well the Wampler Dracarys (stacked with a Tube Screamer mini) and it was as you would say Ridiculous good 😝 !!!! Excellent pedal platform amp and excellent tones !!!launch

So to those who are wondering if you can gig with it.....abso freaking lutley........ I have a $3000+ amplifier which is amazing...I bought one to run through a 2x12 cab with 8ohm speakers wired in series for 4 ohms to give me the full 50 watts in a two amp set up with my custom amp and it is amazing!!! I almost considered selling my custom amp and getting another one of these to run as a pair. They are truly amazing and well worth the $300aus I spent on it.launch
