Have one of these, as well as my AC15C1. I love the SuperBeetle for home use. Like you stated, it's plenty loud. I have it volume around the 12 o'clock and is clear and nice to play. Was so blown away by the little 10\" and open back cab. Didn't expect too much. But was pretty blown away by how good this little thing sounds. Thanks for the share Landon.launch

I’ve had this amp for 3 1/2 years and I absolutely adore it. I have a Vox AC30 CC2X that’s just too much amp for home use. I have a small home recording studio and I record with the mini SB and it record’s extremely well. It is more than worth every cent I paid for it.launch

This is the amp I play 90% of the time. It's my first call at home. Not an amp expert, I just love playing through it. For comparison, I own a tweed Champ reissue, a deluxe tone master, and ac10, and the Mini Super is still my go-to. Lovely amp and I'm so happy I took a chance a few years ago. Let it Be loud! I have had this amp ever since it came out in 2018. Really nice and I actually did gig with it - as you can go directly into the PA through the Lineout. Great amp and I compared it with my AC15 - and it definitely has the Vox genes. Though the AC15 has more low end, when you play it over the box. But the Mini Superbeetle is a small, versatile amp, great for home use and if necessary even playing live. Would not want to miss it!launch

LOUD! \n\nI have two modelling amps (Fender & Marshall) and I'm tempted to try out a tube amp for the legendary tone but there aren't many options locally and I buy most of my gear online so I wanted something lighter and came across suggestions of these Nutube amps by Vox. I mostly play at home & occasionally at a friend's house, and this little amp checks all the boxes! Loved your review and your enthusiasm is infectious! Beautiful guitars and playing! I got mine used last year (for a really good price) and I'm pretty happy with it. It does the Vox AC type sound and I can play it at a volume level that won't anger the neighbors. I have been thinking about getting a 1X12 cab later on down the line.launch

I love this amp. I actually have a pair of them, which you can use 2 cabinets with one head, and I've also used both heads and cabs for stereo. Wow I must say I’ve been intrigued by these unique amps since I heard other guitar players speak highly of them even though it was only a few Zi heard speak of these because most people haven’t mentioned them to me. The sounds you got were great no matter what guitar and pickups you were playing and the pedals sounded really good through the amp as well. It’s cool that the reverb and tremolo are strong as opposed to weak because it’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it, plus it takes pedals so we’ll that you could just use your favorite reverb and trem pedals through it instead of the ones in the amp. I’ve come to learn that tube amps are just too loud for me playing at home and it’s a waste of money for me to try and make one work. There are amazing sounding solid state amps like Boss Katana, Orange Crush and this Vox that will give you great sounds without needing to be turned up to rediculous levels or attenuated with more gear. I’ve had one for about 2 years, love this thing. I use it for recording and rehearsing. Because it’s an open back cabinet, you can also mic the back of the speaker, just make sure to flip the phase on the back mic. Then you can mix front and back mics to taste… the tone is phenomenal. When I was a kid and starting out I used to go to the music store to buy strings and picks and what nots. There were always the several large Vox SuperBeetle amps on display and I would stand there and stare at them and hope that someday. After all these years and those amps long ago ceasing to be manufactured changed things so when this little thing came out I bought one for nostalgic reasons. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! These little amps are serious amps really. The sound you can get from one is surprising. I later found out the original Supers were designed the same way, (a tube in the pre-amp and transistor in the power amp. At 25-to-50 watts this can be used for live work. If you mic the amp, you can play any sized room really and it's a great pedal platform.launch

I have two that I either use for wet dry wet as the wet amps or I use both cabs with one head to get the 50w out of it (the amp is even better at 50w especially the clean tones) in a wet dry or one amp setting. One of the amps has more him in it than the other but both sound great. It also plays well with the two notes cab M. For the price two of these is cheaper than most decent amps. I’ve been trying to tell people about it. Get it going through a 50w cab and at gigs you can LET IT BE LOUDlaunch

Shane nailed it when he said The Superbeetle setup isn't loud enough for live work, but the head would be fine with a 2x12 cabinet. The Superbeetle head is the same circuit as the NuTube MV50 heads. I have an AC30, but for small venues I can disconnect the AC30 head and run the MV50 straight to the 2x12 Celestion speakers. It's loud enough to cut through everything and with the AC30 setup, doesn't blow your ears off and still has stage presencelaunch

I put a Greenback in mine and it is my only amp at this point. I don't play gigs, so there's very little someone in my position needs beyond this great little amp. And if you plug it into a 1x12 it can sound pretty damn huge. What shocked me the most is with the gain at about half way, it has a grit comparable to the amp it replaced, a Dr Z Cure. Also takes pedals shockingly well and records nicely into my Octatrack. If folks find one used, they're around $250-275, which honestly can't be beat.launch

Sounds wicked during the solo, what effects are you using to drive the amp? I find that the gain from the amp itself sounds great as long as you don't turn it up too much. When you dime the amp's natural gain too much it sounds a little unpleasant. I've had success stacking 2 overdrive pedals in front of it and making some sick lead tones.launch

I got mine as soon as it came out. A great amp, very capable of being played at rehearsals/ gigs, as you can use the headphone as line out to the PA directly. And it sounds great, a typical VOX, compared to my AC15, there is hardly any difference. Maybe the AC15 does have some more bass and I tried it with this speaker as well. But this is nothing you would feel in a band context. And you won't miss it when practicing at home.\nAnd as any Vox, it works great with pedals.launch

Sounds great! I like my DS1 and Screamer on a crunch sound. I think the plus with this amp, you can do this at a low volume. Most of my amps are class a and the volume is ridiculous to put the pedals on a crunchy amp. I have heard people say this amp is thin sounding. I totally disagree, but you can put it on a cab with 12 inch speakers and it does sound bigger. Really sounds good with Celestion V speakers.launch

My only complaint, is that that blue LED light that say's it's turned on, is INSANELY bright, to the point where I have to cover it up in order to see where the knobs are set on the amp.launch

I love sharing this fact, because most owners of this amp do not know this, but when you use the headphones/line out, you can put your cable in half way and it BYPASSES THE CAB SIM!!! This is an awesome, awesome feature. It means you can record the pre amp of the amp without the cab sim, and then you can use your own cab sims/IRs!!!!launch

I've got this amp and it is remarkable, I love it. Definitely sounds better in person than on YouTube. The gain on this little amp is impressive and i love that it has a headphone output. Perfect bedroom amp. I've taken it to small gigs and it still gets the job done. Although, not nearly as loud as the AC10 (which is actually too loud for home use). I just boguht one of these. I have an Vox MSV50 and I can tell you when you pair it with a good speaker it's quite a good amp. This one has the reverb and tremolo which is why I bought it. Again, pair it with a good 12 inch Celestion and you have one heck of an amp for the price of a pedal.launch
