From the point of view from someone in the Europe, this instruction is absolutely deceiving. \n\nFirst, if your currently installed ring is not 16V or 24V (in the netherlands is default to 8V) you will need to install a new \"beltrafo\" (or transformer / energy switch at you home) after you do that, you will not be able to install the equipment with one of the their other products, like Cloud Key Plus, or other \"gateway\" products.\n\nBuying here, they even sent a beltrafo of 16V but that's not nearly enough.\n\nBe aware that this is not, in not way, a standalone product, and if you already own APs from UniFI with the WiFi console, this doorbell will not work. You need to have something with the feature \"UniFI Protect\" in order to get this to work.\n\nThe material and documentation of the product, as so the manuals and instructions available are very dim on the facts of this, so, if you are new to a UniFI product pay attention cos this will cost real money until you are able to set up the whole thing.launch

You missed the chime part of the installation AND adoption... how in the h*ll do I get this thing adopted so it works. Something suggested that I HAD to have an Ubiquiti access point (vs some other wifi access) to the same SSID... where the h*ll are the requirements documented and where are the instrucitons. No where in the apps or console do I see any kind of \"add\" button or link or toggle or anything.launch

Multiple users, particularly in Europe, found the required 16-24V power incompatible with their existing transformers or chimes, with one Dutch user needing a new 'beltrafo' and getting an insufficient one bundled. This makes installation costly and confusing outside standard US wiring setups.

This doorbell needs power between 16 and 24 volt, Mijn Chime needs power between 6 and 15 volt. how do I solve this. Not any info in this video and online. I have to find out myselflaunch

How does this work? Over here we have a circuit breaker and transfo as well, but the faze goes to the button and then continuous to the doorbell and then returns to the neuter... so the 2 wires comming out of the wall is not faze-neuter... so how can it provide power to the G4? Also IF it was faze and neuter, then it will short circuit when you press the bell button, since you close the circuit between faze and neuter... Or am I wrong somehow...?launch

Users without a large pre-existing hole for wire adapters found the doorbell awkward to mount cleanly, wishing for a raised mount design similar to Ring's to hide wiring and clips.

RiP to those of us that dont have a large hole in our door frame or brick, etc to tuck those clips in... Wish they made a raised mount like what they have with Ring where all the wires and clips and stuff can tuck into that instead.launch

98% of installations will not have that big hole to tuck the spade wire adapters back into, so just take the house wires and screw them directly onto the doorbell, simplelaunch

I've had the G4 Doorbell Pro for a few weeks now and I find it mind boggling that such an expensive doorbell is not capable of actually \"Ringing\" my phone. Instead it just sends a \"Notification\", which can easily be missed, especially if you keep your phone on silent.\nUbiquiti confirmed this is all it's capable of doing for now. \nI've had 3 other Smart Doorbells and ALL of them can \"Ring\" their relevant smartphone apps. Over priced beta product! 🫥launch
