Hello, Im trying to reflash sonoff zigbee bridge with tasmota, I connected it with serial to USB adaptor and now its blinking blue and green is constant and I get Failed to connect to ESP8266: Timed out waiting for packet header when I try to flash. It wont enter flashing mode, it already had tasmota on it but I changed the network and reflashed but no AP showed up, so Im trying to reflash it again but no matter what it wont got into flashing mode again, I redid all the cables again more than 5 times to make sure they are correct and then are. Any help?launch

I think I missed a critical part which was to switch the jumper on the FTDI adapter from 5v to 3v. I received a solid green light on the bridge, and checked the wiring was correct about 50 times. However, I can't get Tasmotizer to work, it keeps giving me the error 'Failed to connect to ESP2866: Timed out waiting for packet header'. Have I accidentally fried the ESP2866, or is there another explanation for this? Is there any way to confirm I have killed it?launch

Hi Simon, I really enjoy your focusing and dynamic videos. Now I have been trying to tasmotise a Sonoff ZB, BUT even the flashing is failing as FDI does not recognised by Win7 (as it normally does if no device attached) The R and TX led slightly blinking, so seems some data is moving however the green led is on on the device. Do you have any guess how to start flashing with Tasmotizer? Rather annoying now... Aganin huge thumb up for the tutorials!launch

hi, first i was not able to connect with bridge as per the jumpers arrangement. Then came to a reddit discussion where many people advised to connect Z_RST to GRD as well in addition to GPIO0. I am able to flash successfully this way , tasmota AP appears, i can connect and enter my wifi ap details. bridge can connect to my router and i can access it with IP. the problem i am facing is that it is constantly connecting and disconnecting to router , normally both LEDs on bridge are off but every 20- 30 LED1-Zigbee (green) on bridge blink and then LED2-Wifi (blue) starts blinking, meaning its disconnected to router and then it connects again but few moments later again LED1-zigbee blink and LED2-wifi also starts blinking and bridge is disconnected from router again. I cant proceed further with flashing zigbee chip. I tried falshing bridge several times but same happnings....can anyone help whats wrong am i doing?launch

I flashed following the guide several years ago and just recently moved the unit. Home assistant then lost connection with the unit. Tried the the typically rebooting everything but didn't work.\nI found myself back to the video and found console command \"backlog rule1 on system#boot do TCPStart 8888 endon ; rule1 1 ; template {\"NAME\":\"Sonoff ZHABridge\",\"GPIO\":[56,208,0,209,59,58,0,0,0,0,0,0,17],\"FLAG\":0,\"BASE\":18} ; module 0\". \nThat helped started the port 8888 again and order has been restored. Hi there. Fantastic video worked a treat. I decided to do with as I though it might be a reliable solution. How ever after about 12 hours of all devices working perfectly gradually they have started dropping off the network. \n\nIs there any idea why devices keep doing doing ? They all have good battery life.launch

Hi simon how has stable has the bridge been for you, I've had a lot disconnection issues with my sonoff sensors. I tried upgrading the firmware the other day and really annoyed it. I'm hoping to see if i can reflash it using your guide to see if i get different results.launch

I follow everything and the ZHA integration works, I'm able to add a couple of Ikea tradfi switches.. all is great until the bridge randomly disconnects from HA in a day or so and everything is lost. The IP is fixed so the problem must be elsewhere. Anyone having same issue ? It's driving me crazy 😅launch

Newer Tasmota releases (9.3.0+) reportedly caused Wi-Fi disconnects, device drops, freezes, and failed uploads, forcing users back to older versions like 9.1.0 or 9.2 for stability.

Hey man, great video! I was able to flash my Sonoff ZB Bridge without any problems. I want to ask something though. I flashed it with the \"ncp-uart-sw_6.7.6_115200.ota\" but I now want to upgrade to the latest \"ncp-uart-sw-6.7.8_115200.ota\". Any ideas on how I can do that? When I try to upload the file and upgrade via the Firmware Upgrade from the Tasmota UI, I am getting a \"Upload Failed - Invalid file signature\" message.launch

There seems to be issues with the latest version (9.3.0+) of Tasmota which are the current latest releases, which is causing disconnects of either the bridge itself from Wifi or sometimes devices are dropping off.\n\nI'm using version 9.1.0 in this video and has been absolutely flawless, I suggest using this version instead of the latest at the moment till the issues are sorted, I will try to update this in future when newer releases are safe again.launch

Finally received my new Sonoff device (see other reaction, cannot flash EZSP firmware to my old device )\nThis time it is working so happy to get tasmota flashed (9.3.1.1) and also flashed NCP UART EZSP firmware (6.7.8.) Hi thanks I followed this video and install/configure the Za bridge, have few mini behind switches and door sensor, Problem my sonoff thumb switch I can only see the battery not the switch so there is no way i know if it's working. I tried to automate it in Home Assistant but cannot find the device in the trigger section....any suggestion. Also does MQTT{ which is not configure in Tasmota}, cause any conflict with ZAH integration. Thank you.launch

I just \"Tazmotized\" a Sonoff ZigBee bridge and added to my HA setup without issues. I tried to add my first Zigbee device (Sonoff switch SNZB-01). It got added but the only entity seen by the HA is the battery level. I do not see any other entity from the switch that indicates that switch was pressed. Anybody having similar issues? I also heard that switch can register short as well as long press and send different messages. Is this correct?launch

Update on my xiaomi sensors, I now have them all working. The switch & xiaomi cubes only show as a power entity, but zha_events show the switch clicks (no hold/long press) & cube actions. These are set up in either ha or node red to activate other entities etc. Shame they aren't fully integrated, but maybe in the future =). Works for all intents & purposes though, so happy.launch

I've got a problem with the Sonoff Button (eWeLink WB01). Only the battery state shows up. I've tried removing and re-pairing it with no change - only the one entity shows for the device. A door/window switch and motion sensor work OK. Any ideas as to what the problem may be?launch

Users reported hit-or-miss pairing with Aqara and IKEA Tradfri devices, sometimes requiring many attempts or close proximity to succeed, and one user found IKEA Tradfri wouldn't pair at all.

Thanks for another really useful video. Had to wait a while to get my bridge from itead and also ordered door sw, movement and temp sensors.\nTook me about an hour to flash etc, but then I did solder the ftdi leads first. \nThe Sonoff sensors added really easily, but an Aqara temp/humidity/air pressure sensor took many attempts before adding. I almost gave up with it after around fifteen goes.\nAfter pressing its pairing button for 5s and letting go, it flashes once if not paired and three quick ones when it works.launch

Can't wait for the upcoming releases & support.\n\nWorking better than the the aqara gateway. Though it has been working for years, just every now and then lost signal with 1 motion sensor... One user noted the lack of alarm triggers for activating an external siren, calling the built-in buzzer weak and the alarm feature extremely limited compared to the standard (non-flashed) bridge.

One thing I didn't like was not having triggers for alarms, which prevents you from activating an external siren, a great pity, because they don't sell an external siren, and that buzzer is very weak. You can work around creating scenes for each sensor, but the normal bridge would already do that, the alarm functionality is currently extremely limited.launch

I have numerous Zigbee switches paired using the Sonoff ZB Bridge Pro gateway. I believed that the new Sonoff ZB Bridge - U would be a superior gateway with its wired connection and additional features. However, I was disappointed to find out that it couldn't pair with any of the switches that are already perfectly paired via ZB Bridge Pro. This made it a complete waste of time and money.launch
