Would anyone know how to physically fix the wireless side of this model? My unit does not work on wifi, it's NOT a wifi issue, it's NOT a \"do a hard factory reset issue\". It's a \"the wireless is physically broken\" issue on the device. It powers up and works perfectly fine via a network cable. Is there anything on that little circuit board that could possibly be replaced that might fix this wifi functionality? If not then I'll just keep this for a day when I can permanently use it with wired connection. (Where I want to use it is very difficult to get a cable to it.)launch

Hey folks \nJust an update on my fun filled ride with Reolink customer support. It has been 3 weeks now since my post. Reolink claims they put their customer first. I suppose that is true. I have let customer service know that this is not my first Reolink camera or security camera as I have numerous Nest cameras that I have never had any trouble with and am quite tech savvy. Regardless I have been inundated with requests from customer service to “check my wifi connection“ Send them a screen shot to make sure auto tracking is turned on” Make sure “the device is 2-3 meters off of the ground” Wanted to check to make sure I bought the right camera in case I wasn’t aware my purchase didn’t have auto tracking. Nice. etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum. Finally they ask me if I want to replace the camera. (The problem here is that the auto tracking doesn’t work at all which was the problem with the first camera sent….yes this is the second camera)\nThis is what I wanted from the beginning. I expected a bit of trouble shooting but not this. It felt like robot generated tech support replies with usual mundane stuff a child could do. Time wasting nonsense. It feels like they want to frustrate you to a point where all you want to do is take a hammer to the thing and put it out of its misery while and posting it on Tik Tok. Worst customer support ever. The E1 Pro is cheap junk which I would avoid.launch

I continue to be bombarded from customer support with time wasting steps and tests to make an unworkable product work. It’s like they don’t read their own email threads. I own several of these cameras. I know my way around them even when I tell them in detail that I have made the requisite checks and tests. The camera is crap and customer support isn’t much better. This problem is not being solved in a timely manner. It is a total excercise in frustration.launch

Avoid this camera at all costs. Cheap junk. I bought one and it didn’t work right out of the box. I had to send it back to Reolink at my own cost of which I was only partially refunded for their defective product. I was sent another camera that again did not work properly right out of the box. I just simply don’t have the gas in the tank to deal with Reolinks terrible customer service to get another camera sent to me. Rather unfortunate as I have other Reolink products that work pretty well. This one though isn’t worth it. A total dud.launch

I bought one of these per your recommendation. So far it had a bit of problems getting it installed and now it keeps dropping connection and unless you unplug and replug to get it \"reset\". And then it drops connection within minutes. Working with support, so I trust they will replace or figure out the problems.launch

I have this camera in black which nicely matches my decor, (white would look terrible where I have it), but the feature I like best is the Ethernet port, it's hard to find a camera like this with Ethernet capabilities. The thing I like least it the sound quality, it sounds like the camera is underwater. There must be some kind of noise filter in the firmware, there really needs to be an option to turn that setting off.launch

Is there any way to turn the mic up on the camera? When using the app, you can barely hear what the person in front of the camera is saying. Vs when you hear someone talking into the app through to the camera speaker, its super loud. Sort of odd how they have this set up.launch

Thank you, LifeHackster, for another brilliant review. The camera seems excellent. The microphone sound is too quiet for my liking. Which is surprising as I've got two Reolink Go cameras and the sound is perfect for me. I must agree with \"my 2bar\" about the lack of cloud service in the UK. I have been waiting for it, but nothing has come across yet. That is sadly a real let down. I like reolink products, but they need to the cloud service in the UK going soon.launch

Setting up the camera is a nightmare, as the camera does not detect the scan code easily...it took me three days for it to work...I was ready to dump it in the garbage. Besides that, is a decent camera although the settings and options are confusing and not user friendly.launch

Don’t waste your time with this product. I spent almost an hour, trying to get it to connect to my router and it wouldn’t. It was sitting right next to the router and still wouldn’t connect to it. On top of that it took multiple tries for the camera to recognize the QR code on my phone.launch

today is 04/12/2022 and i just got my Reolink E1 Pro. Installed the app on my iphone. I do not see the motion sensor on the app, also bought a new Samsun 128GB miscro SD card that the camera can not detect. i tried to move in front of the camera and see if i get notification by email, that faild as well. what the heck is going on? im pissed, nothing works and SD card is useless too.launch

Dang, I wish my camera was a sweet little thing that just popped out of its mount like that.\nI've been wrestling with mine for 15 minutes — holding the release tab, twisting it back and forth, pushing, pulling, sweet-talking it, even resorting to death threats… nothing. It’s fully committed to dying on that mount before letting go.\n\nTo make things worse, it's 15 feet in the air. I can't even unscrew the mount because the screws are just out of reach, blocked by the camera itself.\n\nI’ve always sung Reolink’s praises, but this has me questioning my loyalty.\nWhy does a $120 camera need to be designed like a Rubik’s Cube with no regard for actual user interaction?launch

Nice looking device, shame there is no PoE support though :(\n\nI'm also a little disappointed by the low frame rate and small field of view. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I have the impression that Reolink bullet-style cameras are better in these regards? Probably Reolink didn't think that the FoV was so important since the camera supports PTZlaunch

One long-term user notes there's no simple way to enable or disable motion detection with one button, leading to excessive recordings filling storage when the feature can't be easily paused.

I have owned two of these cameras for a couple of months now and find them to be very good with one exception; there is no one button motion detection disable in the app. This is an important feature if you are going to use these as security cameras. Ideally a person would like to turn the motion detection feature off when home and on when away. Without this, if bound to the cloud service, the camera will record every motion detection it sees creating a mass of videos in the cloud. If an SD card is installed and recording enabled, it too will be filled with every motion detection occurrence. I contacted Reolink about this as they had a statement on their support page stating “In the near future, we will add a button to enable or disable motion detection directly”. Their response was “I double confirmed with the R&D people and they replied that this feature may not be completed recently. It's complicated and they need time to evaluate and analyze.” Since then, they have removed this statement from their support web page and I don’t expect them to fix this issue anytime soon. These are great cameras if all you want to do is monitor something real time but they are poor security cameras do to the lack of easily controlling motion detection.launch
