I was so tempted to get this device!! I ended up sticking to my first choice and imported a OnePlus 13 24gb ram and 1tb storage from India into the UK.\n\nJust wanna add, both this device and the OP13 come with ColorOS which has a lot of limitations outside the Asian market. They WILL WORK, but check ur network provider bands against the phone before buying.launch

Just watching Tim navigate through the UI , the screen touch sensitivity looks really snappy , as does the general UI operations.\n I really hope they let this go on sale around the world, this phone looks like a winner .launch

Reports include a blue-shade glitch when zooming while recording video, and a night-mode focus/exposure bug that produces blurry, near-black astrophotography shots compared to third-party camera apps.

Seriously there is MAJOR bug when I recorded with this smartphone in a concert. When I try to zoom in with the camera, it comes directly with a blue shade into the scene, which is blatently VERY obvious software driven on one side. I used it different times, and it does pops up here and there and everywhere when I try to record anything with this phone. Which makes the whole scene also ruined... Hope Oppo can fix this issue very quickly, because with my Iphone, this won't happen at all!!!launch

You need to try/test the camera in a area with NO light pollution from big cities etc, try to use the various \"Night Modes\" to the native camera system (it has 2 night modes, one which has a \"tripod\" symbol, and the other shows a \"half moon\" 🌙 ... Try when holding the phone in your hands, and then whilst having it placed in a tripod, use the 3sec timer for best stability and/or even a remote trigger.\nbut before activating the trigger... touch the screen to make the \"focus icon\" appear, and try to move the exposure cursor up/down to get more or less brightness on the pictures.... Do those steps whilst trying to take pictures of the starry sky.\n\nThe reason why I mentioned these steps is because when I do this, the pictures become blurry and almost black, and it's apparently a bug in the camera software that Oppo doesn't bother fixing... I've downloaded other camera apps which are good at taking pictures of the starry sky, and the focus/exposure problem doesn't appear on them.launch

I've got one, there are so many annoying things about the phone out of the box....can't use 3rd party fonts, can't use 3rd party launcher, keeps reminding you that you have turned on dev options, keeps \"warning\" you if you use non-stock apps (especially if Oppo thinks they are not secure...Google Messages not secure?...hmmmm).....I know it's a Chinese ROM and not meant for global users but yikes....there;'a s real degree of control going on here from Oppo that is actually quite frightening...you can't turn off notifications for some of the inbuilt apps, for example. I'm selling mine pronto.launch

Hello everyone! I bought Oppo Find x8 Ultra few weeks ago. I suspect that one of the microphones is not working properly. During phone calls, when I hold the phone to my ear, the other person has difficulty hearing me (sometimes the audio cuts out). However, when I switch to speakerphone, the problem disappears.\n\nI opened the Phone Manager app in ColorOS, went to Diagnostics → Audio, and tested all the microphones. The very first microphone (bottom microphone 1) only produces a hissing sound, while the other three record and play back my voice clearly. \n\nI also tried switching to safe mode and performing a factory reset, but it didn't solve the problem. Also when I record a video the note \"the microphone may be blocked\" appears. And when I listen to my recorded video on earphones, the sound goes only from one side. Could someone test their Oppo Find X8 Ultra microphones?launch

i never have a screen protector on any phone and sadly the glass in my Oppo X8u is scratched. It is too soft compared to other brands. The phone itself is very very good, but I no longer use it as my day to day phone - I leave that for the Vivo x200u, but the oppo is always in my bag for pix. You are spot on with Master mode - the feel is great, but I also love the Xpan style.launch

I have an 15 pro Max and since a few weeks also an oppo x8 ultra. What I don't like on the oppo is the foto galery. When I scroll fast through the fotos they don't load fast enough. I also testet Google Fotos, the app it self I like more. But the slow Foto loading is even way way worse there. On my iPhone all fotos are instant visible without delay. Is there a way to get this load faster?launch

A Find X7 Ultra owner reported the phone couldn't sustain 30fps 4K (only ~20.3fps) and had unusable, choppy 240fps due to thermal management, despite an otherwise great phone.

I bought an Oppo Find X7 ultra to replace all my other cameras as to make content creation easier. My flagship phone couldn't manage 30 fps 4k. Only 20.3 frames per second. Oppo customer service said it was designed that way as to not damage the hardware when it gets hot. My screen gets very hot. End result. My 1100 euro flagship phone is out performed by a 300 euro phone. Even the 240 fps is unusable as it just drops random frames making it choppy. Such a shame as it's a great phone other wise.launch
