So... four years ago my laptop died....the day before Christmas. I went to best buy. The only pc in stock (with an nvidia gpu) was an omen 35l open box. I still have it but the mobo did die in less than a year and the psu was crap.launch

i got my omen 35l week before xmas and have had nothing but issues nonstop. kernal power issues from a faulty psu. constant shutdowns, constant events where it tells me its shutting down speed due to overheating that doesn't seem to be actually occurring. its garbage. save your money. dont buy hp. omens are littered with psu issues and faulty parts. i wish i had known i wouldn't have spend a grand on itlaunch

I loved my HP Omen 45 because it's solid and works well. The only problem between them and a home built PC, is they are purposely under powered to keep people form burning them up, and very expensive to upgrade. The power supply ALWAYS matches the equipment it came with and to upgrade, many times takes a new power supply which are proprietary to HP.launch

I had HP OMEN few years back. Worst decision in my life. Beside advertising premium lineup, it had pretty fast issues with GPU then the terrible experience with HP customer service started. It took almost 6 months, dozens of phone calls and emails, sending me back my PC without even opening the box, internally they had no info where is my PC, etc....terrible, never again!launch

My Omen 30L (Ryzen9 5900x, RTX3080) would run well above 80 degrees on CPU and GPU, and sound like a jet engine in that area of Cyberpunk.\nIt has only one intake fan, one radiator fan, and one exhaust fan. \n\nI just bought the Omen 35L that's in this video, Ryzen7 9800X3D, RTX5070Ti. \nI can't wait to actually have games like that running cool.launch

I have a 35L with a 5070ti and have been enjoying playing cyberpunk at high settings, however, I experience lag after 3 hours of play, I guess related to the system getting hot. Does anyone know how I can improve the performance without having to dial everything down? I already turned off ray tracing and reduced shadow quality.launch

Warning... Tried two of these from best buy and returned them both. Playing BF6 @ 1440p and it would drop frames after 2 hours or more of playing. Not even at high settings. I am a new PC guy so maybe i was doing something wrong but was told from best buy they have issues.launch

I have an Omen 35L with a 5070. The claim that it doesn't have proprietary parts is only half true. Its BIOS is limited and makes it so that, for example, the RAM, which is Kingston Fury customized for HP and not sold in stores, is difficult to change for other brands, because there are many cases (see Reddit) of people who have tried to change it for others like Corsair and it hasn't worked for them. And HP's customer service, even when paying for the 3-year \"HP Care\", refuses to tell you if the equipment is compatible, for example with 8TB NVMe with double-sided and full specs, and to every question you ask them they just tell you they will only answer about original \"HP\" spare parts, no matter how much they sell you the equipment as expandable with standard parts. Spare parts that they later don't have available for purchase, like the RAM to upgrade from 32 to 64GB.launch

Overall I do love the OMEN 35L with the 5060 TI. Runs MSFS 2020 at 60-80 FPS easily. \n\nHowever! Lately I have noticed after a while of gaming, a high pitched whine develops from the PSU or GPU, I cannot figure out which one. Do you have any guidance here?launch

I bought one last week at Best Buy, and after two hours of using it (and playing Enshruded), a very annoying whistling sound started. When I got closer, I think it was coming from the graphics card. Every time I turned it on, and after an hour or two, the whistling would return. I took it back to the store, and they didn't find anything wrong, but because of the warranty, they'll give me a new one in a few days. I'm worried the same thing will happen again. In canada I got my omen for 2300$ Canadian.\n\nRuns amazing without optimizing I can run the highest graphics and still have over 144Hz without any problems. Everything runs smoothly with high graphics low delay nice SSD. \n\nPerformance wise it runs quietly and has great consistency. \n\nMy suggestion is not to update your ninvida driver's especially right now! It will not take a Performance hit as far as I tested. \n\nNo liquid coolant is a advantage to me personally because I don't want to need to top up and monitor my water cooling. \n\nFinal note I was useing a PC from 6 years ago with Performance issues and low high end performance.\n\nAlso easy to clean and upkeep. \nFans are easy to swap out and lubricant as far as I can tell.launch
