Majority of these comments are here to figure out how to connect this device to their wifi. I followed the manufacturer instructions and still unable to connect to wifi. It’s a bad product. Just return the product back to the retailer. None of us deserve trying to figure out how to connect this to the wifi. Shame on the manufacturer.launch

I have been trying to connect my T6 to my home wifi through my phone, but the T6 cannot find my network (which is 2.5 GHz) no matter how many time I refresh the page, my network does not appear nor can I add a manual wifi network on the app.launch

Trying after a year to set up my Honeywell. The app is called Resideo now but responds the same. It won’t connect to the internet. How do I tell if I have 2.4 or 5G!? I have Spectrumsetup-4E. I’ve searched and can’t find what that is. If it’s 5G I guess I wasted my money. Two units. The tech wouldn’t set it up. Said they didn’t need to know my password!! I just think they don’t know how either.launch

Many buyers discovered their T6 displays a Wi-Fi icon but is actually a Z-Wave model requiring a security hub, making true home Wi-Fi connection impossible. This mismatch caused widespread frustration and wasted troubleshooting time.

Talked to an agent- he said the WiFi symbol doesn’t meant it’s WiFi-able. If you have model TH6320ZW, then it means it requires a Z-hub (note it ends with ZW) and it cannot be connected to WiFi. Need device the ends with WF to be able to connect to WiFi.launch

Worst thermostat. Don’t buy. Only connects to z-wave and who the hell uses z-wave. They say it only connects to security panel and you have to pay extra to use the app with security company. Thermostat came with the new home so it’s no use and cannot control through phone. Going to buy something that works on WiFi.launch

I use auto changeover. If I set the heat to 71 the temperature will go to 73. If I set the AC to 78 the temperature will go to 76. Heat is plus 2, AC is minus 2. I've had four HVAC guys look at it and they push a bunch of buttons but no solution. A couple said it's reading the temp at the air handler in the attic, not in the house.launch

Any tips on why this unit won't stop running past the set temperature? If I set it to 72 I wake up to 68/69. If I set it to 70 I wake up to 67/68. I read somewhere that if it's humid in the house, some smart thermostats read that humidity level and will run to try to dump that. We started out with a new Ecobee and it did the same thing this Honeywell is now doing. The HVAC guys switched out that first Ecobee with a replacement Ecobee and it did the same thing. They then put in this Honeywell. It doesn't do it often. But when it does it, it will do it several times that same week. HVAC dudes come off and on over a 6-8 month period and spent countless hours trying to trouble shoot the issue. They couldn't/can't figure it out. Suggestions? TIA!launch

For anyone struggling with this, this is the wrong app to use for the T6 pro Wifi stat. The T6 requires the Resideo - Smart home app. This one does not ask you for the \"CRC number\" like the app in the video, because the T6 does not have a CRC number.launch

Which app???? The manual say download either the Honeywell Home app or Resideo Pro app -\nHoneywell Home does not show up in the app store and Resideo Pro does not work. The company that installed this says to use “Total Connect Comfort”. none of these apps have any QA as they are beyond buggy but not even compatible and it even states so. \nWhy is there no “Honeywell Home” like the T6 Pro Smart says there is? (Apple App store does not have it)launch

I just installed a Honeywell Lyric T6R Smart thermostat. All worked really well until I went to set up the app on IOS. It went right through the process but crashed out at the very end. When I re opened the app I got a message saying the app stopped working unexpectedly. Update - loaded the app on Android & it works fine. Logged in on IOS devices and all is good now but needed the android version to complete the setup.launch

This won't work work anymore because Honeywell decided to stop the app being compatable with android 4.4 , all my phones etc are on 4.4 and so it is now useless, I have asked them to fix the problem but so far nothing, they just told me to update my phones which are all none upgradable for various reasons.\nNOT HAPPY!!!!?!launch

Comparing this to Google Nest or Ecobee this is what \"smart\" would be in 1980! I recently bought a home and honeywell said I have to contact the previous owner in order to register this thermostat in my name, of course I got a new Nest and put this on the trash can where it belongs!launch

The schedule on this thermostat sucks super confusing.. im a truck driver and hardly home i dont want my ac or heat coming on when im gone i just want too have it come on a few hours before i get home from work too save on energy.. there is a ventilation mode on some of these and a boost feature where it will blow air harder and faster and cool the room and house down way faster a lot of people dont know about this feature i figured it out but its only available on my main floor.. my basement thermostat same one and brand doesn't have that feature idk why but i definitely need the boost mode on the basement level it would help cool it faster it get humid down there in the summer..launch

Thanks for sharing. I wanted to see a demo of a Honeywell thermostat, and now that I've seen one, I'm not very impressed. The graphics on the unit and the app look like they're from the 80s, really unimpressive. They could have done a better job than that. Do like the circulate function, but as you said, the lack of a heat/cool setting is a disadvantage. Surprising Honeywell didn't include that.launch

the title of video indicates it will address setting up wifi, he does not do it.. This thermostat is pain. The geofence is unreliable at best. The schedule on mine will not work although everything is set and shows correctly. I suspect that although the time shows correctly on the thermostat and my phone, that the thermostate is actually using another time zone. I set it to come on at 6 am and it comes on at 8 a.m. I have called honeywell for help numerous times. They blame it all on my phone because they can't fix it. Read reviews. they are BAD. Do not buy this thermostatlaunch

I have same thermostat. I got it with new furnace. First one lasted little over a year and went completely dark. Got 2nd one under warranty but company charged labor. 2nd one died after 2 yrs. Completely dark. All I did was turned AC on for first time in season. Fan ran for about 5 mins and when it was time for AC to kick on it went black. I tried resetting breaker but nothing. Anyone have an idea why these keep dying on me?launch

Mine worked great for a couple years then its no longer online. Iv tried resetting several times. When I scroll to IP address it says IP address n/a . Its not showing an IP address. Im totally lost now, not sure what's happening. Iv rebooted my wifi as well. No luck , any suggestions?launch
