I play an XK-1 organ in a 60s/70s jam band. It give me a sweet and solid organ sound and never lets me down. It's got good electric pianos, and a couple of other voices including a decent analog synth effect. I ended up getting a Yamaha CP33 to add a piano to my rig. When you combine the XK-1 with a good stage piano, you have all you really need!

For $1500, you get a professional instrument that sounds great, and holds it's value well. I paid the same for my CX-3 in 1982, and it still sounds great thru a leslie. \nAs a stand alone keyboard, the XK-1 won't let you do everything that a comparably priced synth would do, but it will try to faithfully reproduce the tonewheel organ for years to come. Very rugged design too.

I have the XK-1 for the organs. The other on board sounds are trash just like my Roland VK-7 too. I use both only for organs. I have other synths in place for piano, e.piano,brass,Winds and Mellotronic and all the other sounds. I love my organs just for the organ sounds. B3 set.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤

No, it doesnt come with a piano patch. That was a Roland RD300sx. The engineers threw in 8 extra voices, but no piano or strings, which would have made this keyboard a lot more versatile. Can't complain though, since it is mainly used for its sweet organ sounds.

Great Piece of music and well played.\n\nI wanna ask you if the XK-1c have all the fine tunings of the tonewheel settings as the SK-series ?\n\nSome people on the net says that the XK-1 is a \"cheap\" version of the SK-series. Personly I can live without the extra sounds of the SK as they arent that good anyway compared to the Nord. Just as long as the Organ section is just as good .. or better, and based on this and other clips on the net the onboard Leslie sim sounds way better than the Nord, wich i know from experience sounds pretty horrible without a real vent.
