Mine matches perfectly with HD660S2 and USB Player Pro streaming from Tidal. That basically restored 20 years of hearing loss I could never overcome with the cheapass gear I could have up until recently. I literally teared up the first time I hear REAL hi-fi from my phone with that USB Player app.launch

Agree with your review fully, best bluetooth dac amp i heard at the price and higher. Actually zeos reviews from US recently stated that btr17 is more fun than even m23 dap and i believe as this btr17 is more dynamic, colourful and punchy than many thx amps i heard. The 10-band PEQ presets and 2nd/3rd harmonic compensation are called killer features that let users tune sound directly on the device without extra DSP software, especially useful for IEMs lacking dedicated EQ apps.

It has AutoEQ as well, in the app you can play with the 2nd and 3rd harmonics to make it warmer or colder, if more juice is needed there are small liitle cute mini power \"banks\" you can get and have plenty of runtime, when connected to the phone in pc mode and desktop mode enabled it works as intended without the need of an external power source 🎉launch

It is a KA17 with bluetooth and volume knob, and it does not sound like a sub 100 dongle. It is way better than BTR15, sounds exceptional on ET142 and can drive Edition XS better than many DAPs. Play with the filters and the 2nd and 3rd harmonics and it gets even better ❤launch

There's a handful of devices from asus, redmagic/nubia/zte, and some other Chinese manufacturers that natively support transmitting aptX lossless. You can also get dongle transmitters like the bt-w6, btd700, bt11 and now the air link that can transmit aptX lossless as well. The latest BTR17 firmware will even show you the connection bitrate which has stayed over 1000mbps for me even in a crowded airplane.\n\nThe 10 onboard custom 10 band PEQ presets are a killer feature.launch

Users are pleasantly surprised that LDAC and aptX Lossless sound almost indistinguishable from a wired connection. High and stable connection bitrates are reported even in crowded environments.

I heard from Japanese reviewer that BTR17 has same chipsets as KA17, but they redesigned amp module making music more exciting. I listened to comparisons and BTR sounded more saturated. More engaging. I returned KA17 and ordered BTR17. Better sound, and you can carry it around the house using Bluetooth and use cable while in bed. Best of both worlds. Wireless always wins with usability, and you can always use a cable when you want. With the price difference. At least you have 2 options, not just one. Yes it's bigger but it sounds more exciting. KA17 is duller. Just get BTR17 and save yourself a hustle.launch

Spot-on review mate\nHad mine for a year now, it's handy when I need to go wireless with headphones but sound wise, I'll take my DAP (iBasso DX180) over it everyday of the week. \nHeck for IEMs I still stick to Q5K over it, plenty of power, much better app experience and can't say one sounds any better than the other. \nOne thing I'd give it is the build quality and the great volume knob which feels much much nicer than pretty much everything cheaper than it aside from maybe the Go Blulaunch

I got mine today. I wasn’t expecting good quality with BT sound quality, but was blown away. It sounds amazing. \n\nI love the mic on it so I can also take phone call with it clipped to my shirt. \n\nThis is also a great build quality piece. Anything with a 17 in their name is a premium product. \n\nI agree with the sound being very razor sharp at top end compared to Onyx. It doesn’t leave anything out. The bass is also great. \n\nI still have to hook it up to my pc and build eq’s to custom taylor them to my IEM’s. \n\nThis is a great buy at its price. BT feature is a huge win. Sound is not that much sacrificed vs being plugged in.launch

I've been using my BTR17 for over 20 months now. Normally I use it in balanced mode, driving either Sennheiser HD600's or FiiO's own FT7's. It gets at least a couple of hours a use every day. Typical volume level is around 24. The battery does not last long enough for me, so I run mine in Desktop mode with a 30,000mah power bank. Very good, non fatiguing sound quality.launch

I have been looking for a USB hub that lets me charge my phone via it, and connect a USB DAC/amp to it as well and power that too so I can power and have power to both devices while using them, but it's been annoying to find that kind of hub. But this thing lets you connect two cables at once and power it and connect it to the phone if you want, or use BT to the phone, so I can connect both the phone and the DAC/amp from a powerbank or USB charger. This is great!launch

BTR17 is one of the greatest devices of all time. In my opinion. Even when not using the Bluetooth connection. But the Bluetooth connection is handy when you want to listen to music & charge your phone at the same time (so your phone’s usb-c port is freed up)launch

Good review. \nI liked the comparison w the Onix Alpha. \n( I own and love the Alpha) [warts and all]\n\nIn terms of value... While twice the price of the Alpha... you gain a separate USB port for power, BT, and a battery. \n\nHow much are those things worth? \n\nWhat we've learned w the Alpha is that you want to use an external power supply (battery in most cases) (This means using a split USB cable w the power coming from a secondary source.) \nHaving a battery also relieves this problem and doesn't suck down the power of your cell phone. \n\nBT also removes a lot of the stress on the USB-C socket where over time it can loosen up... if you get both the sound and the power over this... it can force your phone to reboot w a momentary loss of power. \n\nIf I were to ask for upgraded features... I'd think about all of the things you listed w the BTR17. And since its only 2x the Alpha's price... maybe its a better value proposition? \n\nHonestly.. looking at the Alpha, BTR7, DC Elite, and now the BTR17 ... you really can't go wrong with any of them... just recognize their issues.launch

I have had the BTR3, 5, 7, and now the BTR17, and the one thing Fiio are excellent at is not standing still. Each have a marked improvement over its predecessor. The only niggle I have had and especially with the BTR5 is the Bluetooth connection and it not being able to find your device. The BTR7 improved this and now the BTR17 has all but eliminated any issues.launch

I own one of these and decided to open the software.(I'm not even sure why) But there was an update and some of the features in it addressed complaints in this video. So I guess the update is recent. The one that I can remember off the top of my head is the ability to change the AI assistant to next song. Mainly because I immediately changed it to next song.\nSo I guess they're paying attention to reviewer feedback at a minimum.launch

You might have been made aware this already but on the BTR17 unit itself you can go in the control menu to change the volume steps from 60 to 120. It makes a world of difference in making the unit much easier to deal with with sensitive IEMs just an FYI in case you haven’t already discovered it. Great review as always that’s why I bought one a matter of fact.😊launch
