I just bought one of these on sale. It's the best keyboard I've ever used! It is just such a pleasure to type and game on! I had a K70 Lux before this with red linear switches. I like these silver speed switches much more! They are just so smooth and the corsair iCue software is pretty intuitive. Great review! Oh, one more thing. If the zombie apocalypse were ever to break out, this thing would kill hoards of them before finally falling apart. It's built like a tank!launch

I've used this Keyboard for couple of years now. I upgraded from logitech. Man it took me awhile to get use to. Cherry keys were insanely sensitive from what I was use to. I mean insane. But now days I'm so use to it it is like i've been using it for a decade. My only problem with is is the magnetic wrist rest. Take care of it, some how I bent mine and so every one in a while it will unseat itself not fit in the slow as well as it use to. But it is not cumbersome. If you want a serious keyboard, i would recommend this Keyboard whole heartily. The lighting customization alone you can get lost in tuning. \n\nThe response and handling is great. I play games from World of Warcraft, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, to League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and Overwatch. No matter the game this keyboard is ready for it. Pair it with a good mouse, like I use Corsair Nightsword RGB, and when the lighting is set looks amazing as a display piece as well.launch

My original K95 lasted about 7 years before several of the keys started to fail. I finally upgraded to the K95 Platinum when the left Contol key on my K95 Vengeance would no longer return up after pressing it down. I tried numerous things to repair it but to no avail. That being said it was a good keyboard and it took a lot of abuse and held up well. Nearly all the paint was worn off the WASD keys and the W key was also starting to become a bit sticky, so out with the old and in with the new.launch

I have my K95 for some time now and I couldn't be more happy with it! The build is amazing, it is simply perfect in all ways part of one: it can be a tough job cleaning out the dirt :)) I end up removing all the buttons and use a bunch of q-tips but it is worth it. I strongly recommend it for anyone who wants a high performance/high quality keyboard.launch

This keyboard is the first keyboard to get me to upgrade from my g19s. \nI moved from mechanical to the g19s due to the features of the board itself. But as time goes by, I use the volume , media keys, and 5 g keys... So the rest is just overkill.\n\n340$ in Australian dollars is what we will be paying for it and I can say.. that's totally justified to me.\nQuality, plus all the features I require. I was going to get the standard k95 but was holding off if something better came out, and low and behold this beauty comes along.\n\nAgain loved your 1080ti vid the other day.launch

I always use the media key. The volume wheel is simply a must have now. And the play/pause and skip buttons are super cool ! whenever I use spotify while being in game, I can change songs or pause it without having to alt+tablaunch

i really bought this keyboard after watching this video\nit's been a month since it came \nand i'm still happy as at the time it came \nReally good keyboard , smooth typing , sound , rgb blending , everything is all good \ni love the thing that we can set as many type of preset as we want \nyou can try audio visualizer ( only when you have corsair headphones ) \ntyping visualizer , everything \nWill sure recommend this if you have a bit more budget for your keyboard \nI'm sure it won't let you down :)launch

If you have the original K95, this XT version isn't worth buying unless...you work in the dark or just have a poorly lit work environment. If you look at the original K95, notice that all the keys with a SHIFT or secondary function, all have their secondary functions (for example, the \"?\" under the \"/\"} on the lower half of the key. That used to be pretty standard practice on many keyboards, but the more intelligently designed L.E.D. keyboards have these secondary legends on the UPPER HALF of the key. Why? Because that's where the L.E.D. lives! If you have a legend on the lower half of the key, as on the original K95, that legend remains unlit. The new K95 XT has those secondary legends on the UPPER HALF of the key so they can be lit-up by the L.E.D. underneath. This means they can be seen even in a dim environment. There are other similar but subtle improvements on the K95 XT that should have been implemented on the original K95 but weren't.\r\n\r\nOf course, another huge improvement is the availability of Cherry MX BLUE switches, which were previously unavailable on the original K95. I was always puzzled by the lack of a BLUE switch option on the original K95 as they are a very popular switch with many people, including myself. As for the textured spacebar, while unnecessary, it seems to add a bit of luxury, as do the textured macro keys. Nothing was said about the Elgato Streamdeck software, but this is also a big upgrade from the original K95. The new padded wrist rest is much better than the hard plastic wrist rest on the original K95, and finally brings the wrist rest up to standard with RAZER and other high-end competitors. The only thing still missing is magnetic attachment to the keyboard instead of cheap plastic clips that can easily break. All-in-all, the K95 XT is, in many subtle ways, better than the original K95. But unless you can use or need these subtle refinements, upgrading from a K95 to a K95 XT is a waste of money. Stick with your K95, it's still the \"Rolls Royce\" of keyboards...just a different Rolls Royce.launch

I just bought it with brown switches. I hate the speed switches. They're so unsatisfying and feel kinda mushy. Granted, not as mushy as the Logitech G910 i've been using for a few months from a christmas gift. I still think those Romer G switches are abominable, and gotta say typing from the K95 platinum, i'd choose this thing any day all day over the logitech. The guy at bestbuy was pretty cool and we talked for a bit about our thoughts on different switches we've had in the past. Neither of us had tried brown, so I offered to take it out and let him try them at the counter since nobody else was at the checkout. Plus I could return it if I didn't like the browns right then and there, but the thing feels fantastic, plus he apparently slipped in a $40 discount for me :Dlaunch

Grabbed up this board 3 weeks ago. I got em with the MXspeed keys in black. I love this board and I also love the almost luxurious feel of the keys as you're typing even the mundane tasks. The board is solid as a rock too. Someone said earlier that he didn't understand why people have the need to decorate the board \"like a garish Christmas tree\"....well. Did you by chance catch the part about 16million color capable?.....I guess not..... . . . . Because if you did, you wouldn't have posted such a naive, ill informed comment.\n\nOne of the top reasons I got this board is BECAUSE it lights up. I like to play BF4 and i've been caught more times than I can count in a moment of panic while I fumble with my keys in the dark. So when I game, I light up the board in orange, and the header above the F keys is Red. Killer combo.manlaunch

I have k95 with speed switches.\nMy honest opinion, when you buy this, typing takes time to get used to and also cleaning is a problem, but not a major one. But switches for gaming are amazing, defenetly gives a advantage in games, but is this worth to get? I think if you don't have problem taking a time to practise typing and cleaning, then it is worth it.launch

Im very happy with my K70 that I bought a few weeks ago for $80 on newegg, very good deal and I do actually like the speed switches. It took a day or two to get used to but once you get used to the very lil force required, your fingers just fly and you can type so much faster with no strain at all after long periods of typing/gaming, it's very satisfyinglaunch

uff much better wrist rest, deeper 8cm now compare to uncomfortable 6cm with too much angle going down in Strafe RGB. Corsair why you still do not want to make your other keyboards with Cherry MX Silent swtiches ? this K95 Platinum also should be available with this switches don't you think so ?launch
