Yeh great product review .It is a very complex menu to navigate .The save function is a must every time don,t delay because if you change track you will lose not only any changed setting but also your loop.Also i have reset the rc 600 the other day as for some reason my track would not change and i did not have it locked.So beware you may have to completely reset it now and then and will lose everything you did.Overall the 32 bit sound quality is exceptionally good but yes but to load a wav file you have to convert it to 32 bit if its the normal not 32 bit wav file.This is done automatically in the free rc 600 online studio you need to use because its not like say the rc30 where you can just open a track file and insert a wav file.A wav file is a larger but better quality file than an mp3 file if you are new to wav files.So often now with sound equipment there is a learning curve.I just tend to google what i want to know and get a quick help that way with anything.Thankslaunch

I hope some company realizes how to bring loop pedals into the 2020's. The interface is a joke and it needs an app to go with it. Big open spot the market for musicians. Just to be able to figure out how to write a full song on in it is exhausting. Just want an intro, verse, chorus, bridge, etc... and for it to flow from each part. Had it two years and still can't do it. It also shows how out of touch this company is when they put labels all over it and the first thing people do is re program it rendering most the labels useless.launch

\"Once you've set it all up\" sounds so easy, doesn't it? I love my RC-600, but I had to literally study the design of this thing to a point where I drew my own diagrams. I somehow think BOSS should have done that. It would have almost been like documenting their own product.launch

Amazing video! I just got one and so I subscribed to learn. This is a BEAST of a pedal but so confusing with the layout! \nHow can I make this record automatically? Currently when I hit record, it spins but does nto record until I hit the button again, even then, no gurantee it will record. I see it spinning and sometimes the reverse and all stop buttons turn green (which means I am recording I think) but sometimes they do not. What did I set up wrong?launch

I have had the RC600 for just over a year and find it worst toy I have ever purchased, every couple of months it stops working and I have to do a factory reset losing every thing I have recorded, total waste of money. The buttons stop working, it has hissy fits and refuses to work, turn off, turn on starts to work. This is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever purchased with the name Boss on it. Very tempted to throw it in the Tyne, Hate this thing with a passion. Every time I update the software, the problems become worse. I contacted Boss and the complaint was ignored.launch

I own this Looper and I hate it. I would read reviews on seller sites like Guitar Center or musicians friend. This looper does some cool stuff, but it also crashes often and sometimes randomly changes tempo mid songs. If you play in front of an audience it will embarrass you and make you look like your not professional. I have wasted so much time and money trying to make this POS work correctly. \r\n\r\nI wish I never sold my old looper. It had less lights and buzzers, but it worked and was dependable. \r\n\r\nI am starting to think that there just isn't enough processing power in this device and no firmware update is gonna fix what never worked. I feel cheated out of my money.\n\nSeriously, avoid this product like the plague.launch

Hello everyone,\nI came here specifically to warn every one to stay away from this looper. The RC-600 is a buggy mess and is not nearly ready for a gigging musician. I have been embarrassed by this Looper Pedal when it crashes or randomly changes tempo while I'm performing in front of a crowd. I feel betrayed by Boss as a company and I am pissed as hell that they would sell this when it is far from ready for release. \n\nI updated the firmware a couple times now, (currently running 1.2) and while some old bugs are fixed, brand new bugs are introduced. I paid about $700 for this piece of shit and I can't believe how often this looper has let me down/ humiliated me. \n\nThis Looper has so many options, that by the time you realize its buggy and not you misunderstanding how to use it, it will be too late to return it. A bit FU to Boss and anyone who suggested I buy this looper.launch

It is a buggy, unreliable and unfinished mess.\n\nIf you rely on the measure setting \"auto\" or fixed measures on the Boss RC300 and want to upgrade to the RC600, this might be important for you. I try to not be too salty, but I am very disappointed about this. \n\nThe RC600 does NOT let you interrupt the first \"Recording phase\" (Red light) on the subsequent channels after you recorded the first loop. The channel LED just starts to blink red until at least one whole measure is recorded. This is not a bug or a faulty setting but, as Boss' customer support told me, an unchangeable feature of the Loopstation. \n\nIt also pretty much renders this thing useless for me: If I f. E. record a 16 Bar loop on the first channel, want to quickly sing a snippet in the first bar of the loop on channel 2 and then immediately (to save time) hop to the 3rd channel to record on Bar 3 or 4, this Next-Gen-Super-Duper-Looper does not let me as its 11 years old (!) predecessor did. With this highly-customizable-ultra-computer the world waited for 11 years, I have to WAIT 15 BARS TO START RECORDING on the next (3rd) channel (or, alternatively, stop all and start the whole loop from the start, ruining the flow). \n\nBut wait, there is more! While the station not only prohibits me from ending the Rec Phase early, it does not let me stop the recording itself. Meaning: The most advanced Loopstation in the Galaxy happily records 15 measures of stage-noise EVEN THOUGH I DO NOT WANT IT TO. \n\nThere is one workaround. I can, after I've tried to abort a rec phase, press the stop button of the channel again and again until at some point, magically, the channel stops completely. Wtf. \n\nThis thing does a PROGRAMMED LIGHTSHOW with its LEDs every time I start it but does not let me interrupt a recording phase when I want it to. Let that sink in. Simply genius. \n\nI was so incredibly stoked about this machine. Now I don't know if I will even keep it, not to mention using it live...launch

Hi,\na few days ago from one evening to the next morning my RC-600 does not start correctly anymore. At arround 1/3 way of the animated loadbar, it shows the message \"LOOPER DATA DAMAGED\". When I press \"ENTER\" and \"EXIT\" at the same time the RC-600 offers a \"MEMORY+SYSTEM\" factory reset. When I press \"ENTER\" to execute this, I get the message \"STOP LOOPER\". In the appendix of the manual I find the information that: \"The operation is not possible during recording, playback, or overdubbing.\" But I am not recording, playing back or overdubbing. I am just starting the RC-600. what can I do??launch

I have bought five boss RC 600 and every one of them takes a dump corrupt system all the time after 20 or 30 tracks I bought a brand new boss 505MK2. It has only five tracks but there’s a lot more features that you could do with it and it’s better it might be plastic but it doesn’t break like the boss RC 600 don’t waste your time buying the boss RC 600. They suckafter $4000 worth of product that I bought that works 5052launch

Great explanation of this awesome looper. I’ve had mine for a while and only used it on single mode. I’m about to get into the multi side 😱. One thing I would highly recommend if anyone gets this is not only to download the manual but also the Parameter guide. It’s a must and goes deeper into the thing and gives a lot of info. \nI had to return my first one if you get one that shows a lot of errors or freezes get it back quickly for a replacement my second one was flawless - so far but I’ve heard of people being on 3 - . I spent a month before a week long event learning the thing and programming thirty or more songs using nearly all 16 assigns per track linked with a Behringer 1010 - another learning curve - turned it off at 12am Saturday night and took it to meet up with my band mate on the Sunday morning to let him hear all the cool stuff we were about to start on the Monday and it had completely corrupted, never got any of it back. So my final piece of advice is Back up often I learned all my stuff and missed that step if I had I wouldn’t have lost anything. Oh there is also a fantastic Editor made by a user called Moose well worth the extra money. Thanks again for the video.launch

Its a shame that I cannot assign different input fx banks to different tracks, so that corresponding input fx would automatically activate when I play different tracks. What is the point of looper if you cannot do that. How am i supposed to change the track and the input fx bank at the same time. I bought this looper so that i would be able to do that. But it cannot even do such a simple thing. Is programming such a basic and essential function in a looper such a hard thing? Can anyone suggest me a work around?launch

Here's one for you Ben - is there a way to save routing settings on the RC-600?\n\nI ask because a few I'd like - solo acoustic gigs (default routing is fine), using it as an audio interface recording real instruments mostly (acoustic guitar, 2x microphones, a keyboard etc).. using it as an audio interface recording loops with multiple VST instruments (ie synthwave stuff, drum kit, synth bass, pads, melodies).. full-band style setup for an lead guitarist having outputs to multiple amps etc..\n\nI can already do all of the above, and it all works flawlessly. One by one.\n\nThe problem is, each time I want to use the RC-600 a different way, I have to redo the routing settings which is super annoying to do over and over.\n\nAm I missing something, or is there no way for me to save my routing settings?\n\nI would LOVE to be able to save each of the above so all I need to do is hook it up and pick my saved routing choice.\n\nAny help would be appreciated - if this isn't already in the RC-600, then IMO it's a glaring oversight (like not having an on-board tuner that can mute the output and temporarily replace the big circle that could easily be used as a tuner is, as well).\n\nLove your vids, and love the RC-600. Hey there,\n\nIs it possible to ALL PAUSE every track? I know there is the ability to all stop, which I use regularly. I have a part in one of my songs that requires all tracks to pause and then I'd like the RC 600 to start playing all of the tracks where they left off, instead of starting at the beginning of the loop. Being able to assign this to a footswitch would be very helpful. I've searched the product pages and dug through the menus and have found no answers.launch

Still 99 memory locations. Terrible news. I know hundreds of songs and I use built in rhythms with BPM set for all memory locations. I have rc300. I have to either change the location of the songs or have to save different combination of my set list to the computer every couple of weeks, upload and download it again.to not to play the songs in the same order as previous gig. Meticulous work.I play at the same venues once a week so I have to set it up pretty much every week or so Thanks Boss.launch

Reverb and dealt big issues. Please how can I fix the below. I am an ambient music creator. Having the rc Reverb and delay on monitor/input signal means the fade out tail is cut when a loop is recorded. However. Track fix are not applied to monitor/input signal, only a loop once it’s recorded on the respective track. So how do have a long deep reverb or delay on my vocals that I can loop and not have the tail cut of in the loop??? In a recording DAW this is easy achieved by a send return. Both loop and input signal use the same verb/delay. Why is the internet not talking more about, as far as I can tell, there can’t be a same reverb on input and loop that isn’t cut off in the loop end. as far as I can tell input rc reverb and delay is useless because it can’t translate to a loop and the track fx do not occur in input signals?launch

My issue is reverb and looping. I make ambient music. I want dense long verb on my vocals before and after looping. Input verb tail will be cut off on loops endings, so input verb in my opinion is completely useless. Track verb seems to not work at all on the monitor input vocals, I.e before anything is looping. which makes sense, It’s only going to work on a loop that is playing. so what I want is essentially a reverb send, i.e. the kind of send you would have in DAW. When I turn it on, my input vocals have reverb, when I record a loop the loop vocals have the reverb, but the reverb is not recorded to the loop, so the tail is not going to get cut off when the loop restarts.launch

Users note the RC-600 lacks the 1-4 parts control/mixer in the rhythm section that the RC-500 has, an important feature for adjusting dynamics like dropping to just kick or hi-hat during a song.

There is no 1-4 parts control/mixer in the rythem section like on the rc-500. Please add that in a firmware update as it's an important feature to have when editing the dynamics in your rythems. For example some songs we like to drop down to just the kick when we get the crowd to sing along. Or just hi-hat for a quiet part.launch

Really? A completely decked-out badass $700 looper, which is essentially a mixer with looping capability, and you all couldn't be bothered to include balanced outputs for front of house? Is there a special stereo DI box that you offer for this? I presume you built this device with live performers in mind, and not just youtubers going straight into a damn interface, yes?\n\nThe RC 600 would actually be the perfect solution for me, but I cannot understand why you would go to the trouble to engineer a device that's designed to process multiple instruments, and yet not be designed to run straight into a mixer.\n\nI will continue to use Boss products, of course - I've been using them for 20 plus years, and I can trust them. I will still purchase an RC500...but I would MUCH rather be buying an RC600 with balanced outputs. (Seriously, they don't have to be xlr's, TRS works fine...lol.)\n\nThanks for reading my rant, keep building good stuff, but the for the next iteration, please include some kind of balanced option.launch
