Im at the second G18 with the same display problem. It blinks in 240hz after playing some minutes and when turn display to 60hs it gets worst. Secondo with the same problem... Are you guys facing the same problem? Sorry about my englishlaunch

I'm stuck between lenovo legion pro 7i and rog strix g18 4080 I like the g18 more bcoz the 18\" display its game changer for me but I'm afraid of coil whine and pixel bleeding please let me know which one you suggest me from your experience with g18launch

The display on these are just too low brightness. Seen them in the shops even the G16 and they just don't look that good unfortunatly. Really wanted to get one but the display i believe let them down .launch

How has yours held up? I had one of these for 4 days and the SSD died on me. When i first booted it up, it seemed to struggle to boot, so maybe i had a defective unit. I got a replacement coming from Best Buy, I really like the laptop's design and it seems to run cool but i just hope I don't end up with another lemon.launch

5:32 The laptop’s speakers aren’t poor or muffled. The default Dolby Access setting is Music mode, which sounds very muffled and has noticeably low audio output even at full volume. You just need to properly configure the equalizer in the Dolby Access app, which is already installed on the laptop, and the speakers sound much better.launch

Had ROG strix before. Guys, don't buy gaming laptop. Instead build the rig. The battery wouldn't last even an hour after 100% charge. If you turned on asus health charging to 60%, then it will give you max 30min battery backup. So, if you need the power, just go and build it for your own.launch

Just a heads up: you might wanna look at replacing the liquid metal on the cpu/gpu to ptm 7950. I have the 2024 version of this laptop, and while it's awesome, right at a year I started having heat issues. Mind you, the games I play do push the laptop but, the liquid metal they put on the cpu/gpu was the weak point. Once I cleaned it all off and installed the ptm 7950, it ran great. Yes, I was just outside of the Asus warranty and Best Buy was useless.launch

Asus service is decent at best, not something you would like to experience. I changed cpu + gpu fan for 3.5 yr old fx505dy it took them 20 days and I have to chase them after that another 1 month for bill. Lastly what authorized service center did - Asus said S/N is not registered in their system for any service when I asked Asus India their higher management closed the request 2 times. Asus management is poor. \nAsus have good options but rn for me priority will be less compared to other brands.launch
