Stock hardware, like the power supply, may hold the unit back. A Discrete SC owner (non-Pro variant) swapped out the included power supply for a better one and noticed a real improvement, gaining better dynamic range and more three-dimensional sound. They also added external clocking via a Lynx Hilo. This suggests the stock power supply may be a bottleneck, though the commenter wasn't certain how much difference it would make on the Pro version specifically.

Feature and connectivity gaps affect some buyers' decisions. A ProTools user found the core interface functionality solid but ran into confusion trying to use the AFX2 plugin, eventually learning AFX2DAW is a separate purchase not included in the ALL IN bundle.
