Overall Impression

Everyday satisfaction is mixed with real setup friction. Some users, including a receptionist using it daily, say outright they love the WH63. But a large share of comments are troubleshooting requests: failed connections to T42S, T46G, T46U, T48G, T31G and T336 desk phones, unclear EHS adapter requirements, and calls that won't transfer to the headset. The love is genuine, but reaching a working setup often takes extra effort and adapter research.

Desk phone and softphone integration is inconsistent. Users report the base won't ring only in the ear, Teams integration sometimes fails to trigger from the USB Connect app, a firmware update disabled auto-answer and the function button, and the remote answer button doesn't work away from the desk. Softphone users (RingCentral, WebEx, 3CX, GoTo) also ask whether call-control works, suggesting behavior varies by platform.

Audio performance draws several complaints. One user described spotty, in-and-out audio when playing PC media through a desk-phone-plus-PC setup. Another said volume stayed too low even at 100 percent with no fix inside USB Connect. Separately, callers told one user he sounded robotic, and another said clients couldn't hear them at all, pointing to inconsistent microphone quality for some users.
