I do run my guitar in stereo through two amps. I got my second amp after adding several stereo pedals to my mono ones: UAD Ruby and Anti, Eventide Tricerachorus, Walrus Audio Mako D1 v.2 delay and R1 Mk II reverb. I already have a Monument, which I will be retiring now! Stereo rocks! 🤘launch

Very nice. I have the Keeley Hydra which is a stereo trem, but this one ups it with the waveforms, harmonic blend and ability to control the pan without accessing a secondary function. All big pluses. Also really like that Walrus is offering the 2 designs, similar to the Slöer... the black looks great.launch

That Pan feature was the thing that sold me on the SA Vertigo, I love my Monument but I adore that slightly asymmetrical tilt I can get from the Vertigo. Getting that in the Monument plus some presets and ramping... it's gonna be tough not to switch, lol.launch

It had me at the Pan control ;) Really happy they put this out. I run my Vox AC amps in stereo, and it's great to have an analogue opto tremelo, but in stereo. Because there aren't many stereo tremelo pedals out there. And it always felt like a miss, because they often live end of chain and high depth. Price is not so bad either. I was kind of wincing, expecting it could be 350. I wonder if a Zoia Euroburo could do the midi to cv thing drive this with a clock pulse. The harmonic trem is a nice bonus too.launch

Buyers repeatedly compare the Monument favorably to pricier alternatives like the Sunflower Deluxe, Fulltone SupaTrem2, and Strymon Flint, saying it offers comparable or better functionality for less money. Several were sold on it after considering other options.

Great demo! Ive been dead set on the Fulltone SupaTrem2, but for the same price I think the Monumental beats it out spec-wise…. I do think the Supa2 sounds a little edgier, but I can make it edgier with other factors. Sold on the Monumental!launch

Ive been wanting the Flower Pedals Sunflower Deluxe for a while now for a good multi type stereo tremolo, but i like what Walrus has done in this version and its much cheaper than the Sunflower. Im definitely going to give this pedal a consideration when deciding which stereo tremolo i end up buying to round my board off.launch

I also see the Sunflower Deluxe Tremolo as probably the only competitor to this one – with a couple more features and with a higher price. \n\nLet me add from my personal experience: the UI on the Sunflower can be overwhelming with so many secondary functions. (That said, I so much love the drift feature that changes the tremolo speed randomly).\n\nThe Walrus Audio Monumental IMHO seems to hit the sweet spot w/inspiring possibilities AND a straightforward UI. Great job, Walrus Audio! \n\nHowever, in case you ever consider a V2 – these are my 3 wishes (the fairy always gives 3, right?):\n\n1. add that wonderful drift feature that changes the rate randomly\n2. make the subdivision expression pedal controllable\n3. let the waveform seamlessly blend from one to the next, so we get all the nice in-betweens\n4. add a symmetry feature so we can have the waveforms off-kilter\n5. try the impossible and keep the UI straightforward…launch

The only other pedal in this space I can think of is the sunflower deluxe tremolo from flower pedals ($350) it has ramping and acceleration controls and more waves and options but if you dont need the ton of options the sunflower had this at ($280) is definitely easyiley a good competitorlaunch

I just got the Monumental, and I feel like I did get my money’s worth even though I just have one amplifier. The presets, the way the divisions are on a button, the extra waveform, and especially the ability to ramp down to a designated rate is awesome. Also, on the monument, the divisions only work when you use tap tempo, but on this one, they work in conjunction with the rate knob as well. Also, I like the black one.launch

One note- it can be synched to any given point in a song. You just press the tap tempo button once and it will restart then LFO to synch with your band. Very cool feature- especially considering it was his only criticism!launch

Jeez.. what time is it there!? ;-) Hey, on that temporary engage... where you touch and hold bypass... how does it know....errr.... how does it distinguish between switching on full-time Vs just temporarily engaging? BTW, I'm really liking that assignable exp pedal option... so simple too! Just holding the two buttons down and then touching the knob to become exp is super clever and simple! Thinking of ramping the speed or depth up/down with an exp pedal would be a blast! Great playing as always mate!launch

i mean this as no criticism of Pete whatsoever, but it’s amazing to me how so many people, even people who are really tuned in to the world of guitar effects, are confused by harmonic trem. It’s such a unique sound, that at the same time can also mimic things like phasers or univibes or even rotary speakers. But really it’s an LFO bouncing between a high pass and a low pass filter. So your signal alternatives between a bass-heavy and a treble-heavy sound. One of my favorite effects.launch

Is the momentary speed ramp up on the bypass switch new for V2 or was that there before? Either way the smaller enclosure alone makes me give the Monument a hard look to knock the Flint off my board. I also like that you can change wave forms within each tremolo type which you can not do with the Flint. Imagine a reverb/trem-in-one pedal where the trem side had as many options as this pedal, you can switch the order of the trem/reverb, and have a momentary switch that can either speed ramp the trem or sustain the reverb or both.launch
