The Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Lite 8 PoE is an 8-port gigabit switch with 4 PoE+ 802.3at ports. Feedback centers mainly on UniFi controller software rather than raw performance. One user struggled to get the controller to discover U7 Lite and U6 LR access points on the switch. Despite resets and manual attempts, adoption failed completely for that user. The switch itself was only visible when wired directly to the controller. Another buyer also found adoption slow, and briefly saw the controller falsely report the switch as wirelessly connected to an access point, suspecting a UI bug. Viewers were surprised the switch has 128MB of built-in RAM, calling it generous for its class. One reviewer noted the disassembly segment skipped identifying the large chip under the heatsink.
