Simplicity is the Ditto's biggest selling point. Commenters repeatedly say the single-switch design is easier and more musical than complex loopers like the Boss RC-30, RC-10R, or RC-600, which they found overkill with too many menu dives. Several say the Ditto directly improved their guitar playing, helped with timing and solo practice, and became a favorite tool for jamming alone or backing up chord progressions, with one calling it 'one of the best things I've ever brought to improve my playing.'

The Ditto+'s extended loop feature launched broken and frustrated buyers. Multiple commenters called the extended loop function 'absolutely broken,' with hiccups, lag and mistimed overlays, and said it shouldn't have shipped that way despite being the main reason many upgraded.
