Multiple users are confused why the mixer is marketed as 12 or 16 channels when only 8 XLR inputs are usable simultaneously, or why only 4 of 8 XLR inputs have TS input for instruments. This causes buyer confusion about actual capacity.

UI12, more like UI8, It would have been better if all the XLR or non-hybrid and then add in 2 stereo pairs of stereo inputs.launch

What I don't like is that of the 8 XLR inputs only 4 have TS input, that gives me only input for 4 instruments. See if you give me a solution on how to use the other 4 XLR for more instruments...?launch

Several users were confused that the screen shows 4 aux sends but only 2 physical aux outputs are apparent, not realizing the headphone outputs can be reconfigured as additional aux outputs. Others also report aux faders getting 'Locked' unexpectedly.

Hello Juan Carlos, I recommend that before doing a review, the minimum you should do is read the complete product manual and also use it for a prudent amount of time to know it well. For your information and your followers', when at minute 18:00 you talk about the AUX sends, you mention that you only have 2 despite the screen showing 4, which is an error. As I told you, the error was not having read the manual, since there it appears that the 2 physical headphone outputs can be configured as AUX outputs, this way, you have the 2 physical AUX outputs (1 and 2) + the 2 physical headphone outputs acting as 2 other AUX (3 and 4). I don't have this console, but I came to your video looking for information about how many auxiliary mixes the UI12 has and it caught my attention that there were 4 but they couldn't be used. That's why I went to the manual and evidently found the answers I was looking for. Greetings and keep improving!launch

Funny, I own a Ui12 for over 4 years now and this never happened to me. If that mixer was well earthed the static would have been forced to earth as soon as you touched that mic. The mixer itself does not have any earth connection, so it relies on other equipment to be connected to Earth. Active speakers for example, or even an Power amp. If the amp or speaker does not have a plug with some earth connection, the house power outlet has deficient earthing, or there is a bad cable between the amp and the mixer, the static has nowhere to go. Not mentioning that equipment that is not connected to earth can be very dangerous.\nI do understand why they might have developed the mixer without an earth connection. Perhaps to avoid ground loops caused by several pieces of equipment being earthed and connected together. This will form ground loops. One way of avoiding this, is to connect all of them on the same multiple outlet thingy :) Sorry, English is not my main language and I don't know how to call it :)launch

It is a great little mixer and I'm glad I got one. The big let down though, is the digitech amp modeling. They're terrible. Even with a good amount of tweeking could I get a usable sound out of any of them. I would recommend this mixer, but not if you're particularly interested in the amp modeling. They're terrible.launch
