Nice quick review. My local music store sells Shure headphones and I’m interested in them but was wondering if I’d be satisfied with the cheaper srh240a. Not doing any serious studio work with them, just casual music listening and use when playing guitar so probably just gonna go with those.

I'm always looking for budget-friendly headphone options to share so testing the Shure SRH240A at $59 USD seemed like a good option to consider, especially after reviewing the SRH840A and SRH1840. I don't expect sub $60 headphones to compete with more premiere options like the 1840s, but in my testing and to my ears, the SRH240A don't quite seems to fit in with other headphones in Shure's lineup.
