The price is the phone's biggest fault. I don't understand why OnePlus has incrementally raised the price of their offerings. It defeats the idea of a \"flagship killer\", or making a point of how flagships can be had for cheaper. The specs are fine, but don't exist in a vacuum. Nowadays, only $150, even less if you're smart shopper, separates the 5T from the other flagships, which is far less than the $200 and more it used to. If OnePlus doesn't want to match the competition with most specs (and in some regards beat them) the way ZTE did with the Axon 7 compared to the Galaxy S7, LG G5 and HTC 10, but rather follow a \"just the basics route\", then they should keep the price low. $500 is 5 Benjamins, which is still quite some change upfront for the average consumer.launch

Well, is nobody gonna mention it is currently fastest phone on planet, fastest charging phone yet, best phone for multitasking with the 8gb ram, practically fastest fingerprint scanner, fastest face unlock, flagships with best battery life ?\nI actually prefer it over other flagships because it doesn't give the extra eye catching features but does most of the things that are necessary BETTER than the other flagshipslaunch

full Disclosure, my last phone was the sony xperia Z5, I upgraded because the phone's back popped off when it overheated....which was my fault, I was in a hot room, playing games on it with the brightness up, it's not a fault with android but the phone itself and my own fault.\n\nAs a current oneplus 5T user I can say for certain that the speaker sounds great especially when put down on a surface and blasted full pelt, it's loud and rivals some bluetooth speakers,so I don't really care for it being mono or stereo, I like my sound coming from one place.\n\nThe performance is the best I've come across, face ID unlocking is also faster than the iphone X, the fingerprint scanner has never let me down, it's never failed in recognising my print, it's never failed in recognising my face especially in low light.\n\nGaming performance is 10/10, the phone doesn't heat up while gaming, playing poorly optimized games such as dragon ball dokkan battle is an absolute joy with the settings turned up and it doesn't kill the battery as quick as it did on the sony xperia Z5.\n\nThe only problems I have are the position of the headphone jack, it being on the bottom doesn't make any sense, and I'm losing out on sony's automatic optimisation and sony's powerful sound software drivers which really made the xperia Z1 and Z5 worth it, however it's not a deal breaker as I still use the Z1 to transmit my PC audio to the phone and then through the headphones.\n\nI don't care for wireless charging because at home in my room I'm not even 2 feet away from a USB port whether it be on the PC, ps3, ps4 or ps2 ( yes I use those for charging although I don't recommend using ps2 with it's USB 1.0 ports), charging speeds from a USB 2.0 port is still pretty snappy.\n\nI don't care for squeeze on the pixel and it's not that much faster than saying \" Ok Google\" \n\nThe screen doesn't bother me but even though it's a 1080p panel it's still very nice to look at, pictures look nice.\n\nThe camera is fine if I want to snap a picture or take a photo of a new cool thing I bought and use portrait mode to blur stuff, I'm not after DSLR quality but it's still pretty decent, the front facing camera is not too shabby.\n\nOverall I think the 5T sets the bar for what phones should come with, phones should really be coming with 6GB+ of ram, headphone jacks and all that lot given that 3.55m headphones do tend to last longer, so long as you pay more than £5 for a pair, bluetooth headphones still run the risk of interference ( I had a lot of interference from every set of headphones I tried from phillips and bluedio) so I don't really trust them.\n\nI hope people enjoy my long bloody paragraph and my sort of review of the 5Tlaunch

How do they settle on software, explain that further?! because you just said it settles but with barely any expaination and with giving half its strong points...\nI like their software over any others smartphones software, and i guess im really not the only one :P\n\nYour review was a little lacking, not featuring things that already been there for a while now like dashcharge... ok well.\nbut the Face Unlock that is Faster but not as secure the iPhoneX face id is only considered \"just not as good as the iphoneX\"... \n\nLike the First \"Kamera only\" face unlock on an android smartphone that works so well it fuctions reliable in any lighting condition, from any angle, recognizes if your eyes are open and cant be fooled by a picture isnt amazing...\n\nFor that this review took so long and the fact your one of the biggest techreviewers this review was incredibly uninforming and simply not good.launch

What does he mean by \"isn't as good as face id and iris scanner\"?\nIt is better. It unlocks the device, faster than both the devices he compared to. It can't be fooled by a picture, or a twin and it works quite well even in dim surroundings. iPhone's face id can fooled by a twin of yours. I am not making this up, my friend's iPhone X was unlocked by another friend who looks quite similar, not identical, similar.\nThis review was kind of vague, doesn't look like linus did is his research properly.launch

Watching this on my OnePlus 5. XD\n\nHonestly, for anyone looking into this phone it is amazing! I've had Galaxys and(older) iPhones and my OnePlus 5 is my favorite out of all of them. Ive been using this as my only phone for almost 4 months now, and I love it. Mine isn't the 5T but it looks like the only difference is my fingerprint scanner is on the bottom of the front and it doesn't have facial recognition. And the screen has slightly bigger bezzles due to the fingerprint scanner on the front. The price almost unrivaled in the quality of the phone as a whole. \n\nAnd concerning the battery life. I can regularly get around 6 hours of moblie gaming and almost 20 hours of mixed Spotify using 3.5mm headphones and Facebook/texting. Their claim that you can get a full day's charge in 30 minutes is fairly accurate. Using the dash charger, it charges from 5-8% to 57-63% in 30 minutes. Which, so long as you aren't gaming all day, can get you through comfortablely. \nHope this helps if anyone was looking at this phone.launch
