I have the Monologue Minilogue xd and a Prologue . The Minilogue Bass is just a gimmick to sell extra minilogues. The red and black keys are a bit much .I steered away from the Og minilogue ,The xd just is on many levels better! Using the Logue SDK i have crated many user Mod effect and extra User oscillators and expanded the xd hugely!launch

I think it's a bit misleading to call it a Minilogue Bass, when it's a 2016 Minilogue with a cosmetic refresh and some new bass presets.\r\nThere's no changes to the synth engine and it's release price is higher than a Minilogue XD, which is arguably a more advanced synth.\r\nIf they had kept the price and name the same as the original Minilogue then it would have become known as the 'Minilogue Red & Black Edition', similar to the MicroKorg XL limited versions. Even Minilogue Black would have made more sense\r\nI quite like the new colour scheme, as it's a bit clearer where the dials are set but otherwise I don't see a reason to buy it, at least until the price drops in line with the original Minilogue.launch

I loved the original Minilogue and its timeless design, but didn't fancy the filter as it thinned out the frequencies as you open the filter with the resonance cranked up. The xd had a completely different filter and sounded way more in your face. Yet I still miss the orginal. The mono mode was great and never made it to the xd. A real shamelaunch

The Minilogue Bass has the same filter as the original Minilogue, and that filter loses all bass when you turn up the resonance.\nThe Minilogue XD on the other hand has a different filter and it does not loose bass when you turn up the resonance. So I find it puzzling that Korg took the filter that loses all its bass and put that one into a \"bass version\" of the Minilogue ...launch

This is a huge miss for Korg. If they had updated the filter design so that it compensated for the low end reduction that you get with resonant patches then this would be a total win.\n\nI think it’s funny to market the Minilogue OG for bass specifically because peoples number one gripe with the original is the way the filter cuts low end. Any funk bass patches that I've made on my minilogue and minilogue XD are weak as hell because the filter cuts out too much low end causing it to not cut through in a mix very well. I hope they at least upgraded the filter to account for that, otherwise this is just a reskinned OG minilogue.launch

They did update something, it seems. The price. The bass version is around 700, wheras the minilogue XD is around 600. Not too crazy about the look of the Bass version.. it looks like someone is trying way too hard to be hip and cool..lol. I wish they'd make a 6 voice version, that would warrant the markup in the price. 4 voices is 2 voices short of glory for me.launch

I had one of these for a while and I really loved it. It was a great entry point into synthesis for me. I found a good deal on an XD desktop a couple years ago and sold my OG to get it. XD was WELL WORTH the maybe $100 upgrade. So much more capable and the tone is much richer, but it does lack the beautiful simplicity of the “bass model” if you will. The layout on these is more spacious and it’s very intuitive. It really is too bad they didn’t make any quality-of-life adjustments for this reissue.launch

If you have smart business strayegy you should give the customers what they want! 🙏\n\nAnd what we want is: Minilogue xd with full 2 adsr. We want same multi engine with more code space. Same mean full support for code already been writen for it! We want audio in! We want 64 steps sequencer! We want to be able to copy sequence from one patch to another. And.. 1024 paches space in 4 bank woulld be ideal. Oh... and don't forget the paches category from the prologe. And we want it in keys and desktop version as it is now. \nIf you'll do that - You will have the best seller synth of all time !!!\nEvery minilogue/minilogue xd/ prologue owner will buy one. This is quite disappointing to be honest, as an owner of the OG, the XD, Monologue & Prologue 16 I'm huge fan of the range but this just seems lazy. I'm guessing the FW is identical other than the presets being changed? Great video as always but I wish KORG would get on board and push development and drive quality of life changes across this range. Like you say, a missed opportunity where they could have even FW wise addressed some issues and made some tweaks then made that firmware available to the OG owners too.launch

It really looks stylish, love the red design. But I was really hoping they would add 1 or 2 voices. I see that it still needs to distinguish from the Prologue 8, but still. The 4 voice limit is really what keeps me away from it. At least 5 voices for some proper jazzy voicings would have been a huge update.launch

I dont hate the look of the keyboard. I hate the size. Three octaves is kind of Ok on a monosynth, but on a polysynth, it's as useful as a 3-inch penis. Better than nothing maybe, but frustrating and not much fun. But Korg seems to love this form factor, putting it on the WaveState, Op6 and ModWave as well/ All of which are polyphonic.launch

Three minutes into the video and I just realized there is no XY access joystick. I won’t get rid of my Minilogue XD for this no matter how cool this is. They really should’ve put an XY axis joystick. That’s the reason why I didn’t get the prologue 16.launch

Not bad! And this from an owner of not one, but two Minimoog Model D's from 1978-1988. Its not hard though these days to get a fat Minimoog sounding bass from inexpensive synthesizers. But this Korg is true ployphonic, my Minimoogs only did one note at a time. My problem, as a player, with this Korg is small keys and lack of a pitch and mod wheel, but at this price point I think of it more as a module with little keys thrown in as a consolation. Now that they are finally trickling into the US I'll probably pick one up myself and midi it up to one of my full size controllers. Thanks for the demo.launch

The knobs feel cheap. I have some of them in my PA4X and it's a shame because the Pa4x was the flagship arranger in the previous generation. If you really like the sound of the Minilogue you should sent it back and buy the module version instead, and by doing thart you will also get rid of the cheap keybed (because KORG use very poor keybed for their entry level synths) and remote control the Minilogue Module from your Pa5X or even the Bass station 2 (I sold it 3 months ago and I know the keybed is great, sadly only 37 keys).launch
