I dont know why we are sampling the volca kick when there are plenty of good kick samples already in the electribe sampler that can be tweaked in a fraction of the time to sound better than the volca kick sample he took half the video to create. Why make things more difficult? Korg tutorials suck. I kinda like my electribe sampler but the menu diving is horrific. To sample in the Electribe sampler is like counting grains of sand. It can all be done so much faster just using ableton and a wav file. The menu diving on this device is thick that it makes the simplest of tasks over complicated. It's a fun groove box, but forget the obnoxious sampling procedure.launch

this demo has almost put me off getting one. the laborious clicking and menu stuff. the esx sd is far more intuitive nd this machine has a 'work station' vibe it and work isn't what i want but i was originally gasping at what it might be able to do. your demo is great though its just the machinelaunch

Nice review as always! \nI got my esx2 since the day it has came out and i love it but i agree, the sample management and the menu structure is sucks. \nBut it's still a kind of cool unit i use it most for sequencing multiple external gears via midi. There isn't any other polyphonic midi sequncer for this money.launch

Sample management sucks dog nutts. Mines has been in the box for months. Waiting until \nKorg gets a better OS. Update. 4 bar patterns nah man . My korg esx 1 gets more run then the esx2 . I really hate ABLETON I found so still I wait for a better os or hack . It's really easy to use but take card out put in pc take it out pc. Pray on it too much work. This post is more so for people thinking about buying this as a main hardware sampler. Nah man buy something else. An mv 8800 or 8000 ,or korg esx 1 would be better .i have had my esx 1 since first year they came out and will never part with her .launch

Sample management is repeatedly called frustrating, with issues around memory full errors, deleting samples, importing whole tracks broken into separate pads, and needing to shuttle the SD card in and out.

Hello nice video.. I have that machine only two days.. Want ask when I want insert sample it me writng memory full but i make sure at was a Short mono sample in waw... How i can delete samples in sampler? or how i can do moore space for mine samples if you know ? Have good daylaunch

So I finally got me the Electribe sampler 2 and have to deal with one issue which gives me hard time. Well, lets say you create a beat on an empty pattern and save it/export it on the sd card as an Ableton live or wav file. Switch the Electribe sampler off then when you switching it on again and want to import what you have recorded I cannot import the whole saved track from the SD as a whole but just the kicks, snares, etc seperately and also as stereo on 2 pads each one. When I transfer from my SD card the recorded track into my DAW appears and plays as a whole but in Electribe Sampler my beat is \"broken\"... So please inform me about this issue cuz it makes me scratch my head everytime. Thanks in advance!launch

My guess is the data on that one pad is so you can turn off the metronome and put a hi-hat or kick on there if you feel like it and get started without those annoying bleeps. For live use. \nMy big gripe with this device is that patterns are only 4 bars. If not for that limitation, I would probably buy one.launch

Good video but the only thing I want to know is whether this sampler can play back a sample which sounds EXACTLY the same as the original sample before it was sampled by the sampler! From this video, it sounds like the sound from the Volca when played back, it does not sound very high quality so this sampler is a piece of junk in my opinion.launch

One long-time Electribe user reports that some effects are useless and knock patterns off-beat and out of time, and that effects can no longer be chained in the desired order, calling it a step down from older ESX1/EMX1 models.

right. i ended up buying one and i hate it. some of the effects are useless and make your pattern off beat out of time and just plain rubbish. the fact that you can't chain effects in the order you want like on the old ones is a deal breaker too. so many flaws in this unit as a studio piece of gear and live. i painstakingly spent time with it and believe me i know electribe as ive been a user since day dot. there are feature on there, that if you were playing to a crowd they would shout you down for loosing, skipping beat in a dj fumbling way but no ! these are the effects guys and i mean really. the effects are to of time ! also when you want to trigger any thing with the crappy kaos pad you will hear a very off time note trigger as you touch it. you have to be dead in time and i mean point blank. this is a step down from the esx1 and emx1 as they were setting the standard but hey ! the standard dropped. 5/10 korg !launch

the new korg is noisey ! if your korg has a high pitch distant noise to it. switch off the audio in. only switch audio in on when you want to sample or manipulate audio with the esx effects). if you leave audio in on even with the audio in volume knob down, it will still have the noiselaunch

I want this so bad...but, there are some basic things such as scale setting parameters, velocity, and memory (simple things that should be a must) that are not available. Im considering one now and the Ableton aspect is a big plus. The grid thing is a PIA. Need to be able to free flow. Stereo samples taking up 2 pads is dumb. I’ve read There are some tricks to manage that. Rewatching.launch
