$899. Bizarre price point. Could have dropped the touch screen element and cut a bunch from that. You'd want to be seriously reliant on looping or have a band expense account...otherwise hard to see these moving. Blah, was initially kinda excited there.launch

Seeing as HeadRush makes a killer guitar effect processor they could of take a portion of that and put it into the looper along with a drum machine and now you have a killer all in one looping board worthy of $900. Thank you so much for your reviews and feature guides. \nI have just purchased my Looperboard and your guides have helped me enormously as well as given me confidence that I have made a sensible purchase. Especially since in Australia it is twice the cost compared to the US ($1799).\nAt this early time I would like to ask about one item that I was disappointed to learn and that is that the 4 inputs are mono and not stereo. Wouldn't this limit the usefulness of having panning on tracks? And if I wanted stereo at the input such as from a keyboard or my Pedalboard, this would take up two tracks?\nI believe I could bump them to a single track, which would be likely be ok in a studio, but it seems to me not be very good in a live performance.\nI don't know if this could be addressed in a future firmware update, but unlikely if the input circuitry is mono by design.\nRegardless, I think I will be very satisfied with the looperboard.launch

Hey dude, cool videos! But for a second time you are a bit misleading. I have already commented on one of your videos that the recorded tracks on Headrush are actually 16bit. Only what goes real time through the looper (unrecorded) is 24bit. And its 32 bits when used as an audio interface. But when you have a track recorded onto the looper, when you open it on your computer, you can check that it's 16bit. I have this confirmed by Headrush team as well. So this is the most disappointing point in my opinion. I have a tiny question here, can you loop the AUX IN? Are the tracks still recorded in mono if yes?launch

I bought a Looperboard a couple weeks ago, and after spending a weekend trying to update its firmware without success, I returned it. I worked with their support on their forums to seek a solution, but they weren't able to help. The only \"solution\" was to ship it to them, which I wasn't about to do for an item I'd only just purchased a day or two ago.\n\nIn comparison, my Helix has been a breeze to update and use.\n\nThanks for the video, Ben.launch

Jon, I'm a singer/songwriter. I've been performing live looping sessions for over 5 years now. Last year, I added the Headrush Looperboard to the Headrush 112 (PA) and Headrush 108 (monitor) setup I've used for years. I have loved all the tutorials and samples found on youtube, BUT, after updating the software to the latest version, I have NO IDEA how to use this board anymore. I have enjoyed seeing your enthusiasm for the board. Can U help me?launch

I was really excited to receive this Looperboard and start jamming. Nearly impossible to get it to work how I wanted. I returned it after 3 days. I am a software engineer, and I just thought the software was so poorly executed, it really frustrated me to the point of returning it for the RC-300. Not worth the money yet, They really need to do some User Research and deliver on being allegedly \"the most advanced looperboard\". Thought this product was a rushed, poor attempt at a Looper strung together by amateur developers/and or amateur Musicians/developers. They should talk to their Users more.launch

A detailed complaint explains that while a loop can hold 4 tracks, you can't chain the full 4-track loop into song sections, only single tracks, stripping most of the advertised advanced functionality.

The tipping point for me is the limitation of stereo on each loop section. There are 4 inputs, so I would LOVE 4 track audio PER loop section.\n\nMaybe it can't be done? Maybe stereo (two channel or left/right) recording is the maximum that the hardware will allow.\n\nBut JUST IN CASE they can upgrade each loop section from two-track in/out to 4-track in/out, I'd be on board in a heartbeat. It would allow them to do the one thing that hardware loopers have NEVER been able to do, and avoid the need for me to buy a laptop, Ableton Live, muli channel interface, etc.\n\nMy fingers are crossed!launch

Yes... BUT... big BUT here: Can you actually chain the \"awesome\" 4 channel loops? (not just \"serialize\" individual tracks within any given \"loop\" which seriously limits what you can \"add/mix/chain\" into a SONG?) No you can’t!! Ridiculous! What's the point of having a great four channel “loop” if it's essentially nothing more than one \"mono-thematic\" section of a song!! Actual musicians (and songwriters and producers) KNOW AND HAVE LEARNED that LOOPS ARE NOT SONGS! Even stupid songs have the advantage over “loops” that they can actually have some variation between an “A” section and a “B” section. Not this thing. If you're ONLY into LOOPS, well sure, you might think this thing is great. The fact that Headrush did not provision being able to chain these “awesome 4 channel stereo track/loops” to create actual songs/arrangements from them... (like VoiceLive and a dozen other somewhat flexible loopers ) ... is unbelievable to me! What they do let you do is put any of the four tracks within a loop into a song order...what a load of bull... because what you have to understand is that doing so strips away ALL of the value of having the four tracks! Because your song sections now comprise only one stereo track each ... so now your brilliant “4 channel” machine isn’t any more advanced than a $99 Nuxe Looper, which actually has WAY more functionality because at least with it you can actually chain up to 99 sections/loops! In short calling this thing \"the most advanced looper\" is just total marketing bullshit. Sorry... it's just another plain STUPID Looper when you actually want to use it in an actual song/arrangement capacity. To be able to chain the actual 4 channel loops (into interesting, changing, textured, MUSICAL SECTIONS!!!) and not just sequence single tracks IN a “limited-to-only-4-sections” capacity ...well, THAT would be very useful Headrush! ... Meanwhile here’s a metaphor for you all to chew on before you go plunk down $900: ”We've got this great new RV fer y’all ... sooo advanced better than any motor-home out there ... every feature imaginable in a \"home\" ... except ... uh... you can only drive this thing around the block. Doesn't drive on highways.\" Seriously Headrush! Do your homework! It's like when you came out with the \"killer\" Gigboard and then totally tied it's lush stereo \"sonic hands\" with a frikin' MONO FX send/return! You just sucked the life out of every decent pedal I have ... looping into/through your box. Okay... now for a little compassion on my end: I LOVE the Gigboard. I almost sent it back because of that... meaning when I discovered that I couldn’t insert my $600 Strymon Timeline without collapsing it to mono (like essentially turning it into a $99 Boss delay!) ... I originally said, “fuck it”... BUT... in the case of the Gigboard (it really it IS a killer sounding beast) I was actually able to gerry-rig a workaround using a $2 stereo adapter cable from my stereo Timeline back into the aux in. Otherwise I really would have sent it back. Here’s why I’m telling you this: this proved that the Gigboard actually HAS the ability to have a stereo FX send/return... but they DIDN’t integrate it. The Looper also totally HAS the capacity to chain its four channel loops and make it actually highly functional/desirable... but again, they HAVEN’T integrated it! WTF not?? is my big question. It really makes you wonder who’s “drivin’” doesn’t it? My advice: until they get their asses in gear, and stop letting lame-o marketing dweebs run the show instead of integrating needing functionality based on talking to real-world users/musicians/producers/song-writers (or possibly “padding profits” with some down-the-road- “upgrade”)... don’t waste your money and/or support this kind of bullshit!launch

Great videos! Keep them coming, I just bought yesterday the headrush looperboard with the intention to replace my tc helicon voicelive 3, and have just the looperboard. It's a great piece of gear but the fx section is really frustrating me, what is the point of having all theese efects and not being able to combine them? It just makes no sense, for ex, if you want the compressor on your input 1 and for insance the wha effect, you can't combine it together couse is from a different rack😅😅😅 you are stuck to one rack per input, it is so frustrating that I might send it back to the shop. Also, you cannot set an effect rack to the master out, like you would do on a Rc 300. I really don't understand this kind of limitation from Headrush, I mean, the effects are already there, why not giving you the opportunity to use them at your will? I am now stuck on using 2 piece of equipment, one for the fx and one for looping when I was doing it all in 1 with the Tc Helicon. I hope there is going to be an software upgrade for this issue, it is such a powerful machine, and they sell il to you with the handbreak onlaunch

appreciate ur product and \"spirit\" . i am evaluating to migrate from Voicelive 3 xt. what i am understanding that i appreciate more comparing with Tc helicon vl3 , is + much more routing options that what i was searching for long (since they abandoned the firmware update while in a previous time there were Craig and before even the other guy, that would hear our requests on the forum....) however, and what seems i miss more in Loopeboard : 1) harmonizer even in v.2 firmware sound poor comparing with tc helicon 2) midi out? is really working ? 3) aux input seems is not loopable + not tracking tor harmonies. \r4) am i understanding that fx racks is not easily \"presettable\" and programmable to the button or to an external button pedals? is espression pedal easily assignable too? I am really evaluating to migrate , and to tell you the truth as i am manager of more then 1 public big group about Tc helicon Voicelive 3 ,i would wait the day u became \"my new compaign\" to finally invite my collegues to migrate too, if that would mean and improve to our artistic creative way. agree on the \"too much stooping\" comment. There should be a hardware extension unit that allows many of the touch screen options...but all hardware knobs and sliders. Some company makes one for DAWS but I don't remember the name. it's very simple.It might even work with this via USB. That would be super cool to have hands on unit for above. My live performance set-up doesn't allow for all the stooping, so, not for me unless..... I can hand tweak from above, and foot punch below.launch

Unlike the Boss RC-300, the Looperboard can't auto-detect tempo from a played loop, which one user confirmed directly with HeadRush engineers and called a major live-performance limitation.

It doesn't have tempo detection. You can't play a drum beat and create a loop and let the looper figure out the tempo from the loop. It doesn't do that. The RC-300 does. This is a big oversight on their parts. I called Headrush and spoke to one of the engineers and confirmed. Check out my videos to see what you can do with tempo detection. It makes it so you don't have to tell the looper what the tempo is...it figures it out by what you play. Ableton does this. The Boss Rc-300 does this. Why wouldn't the Headrush do this?! Been waiting a long time for an improved looper and am disappointed by this oversight. It makes it WAY less functional in a live environment. I guess it is designed for people that use the dreaded pre-recorded backing tracks. Bummer.launch
