Thank you for this great video. Those are always very helpful and interesting. \nI have a more technical question regarding the side buttons. Do those differ to e.g. the forerunner series? When I tested the Venu 2, I had a bit of a margin when pressing the side buttons. Might be also technical issue. \nMaybe you experienced the same thing. Thank you for your answer!launch

I replace my old Vivoactive with the first Venu about 6 months ago. At the time I was considering the Forerunner 245. I opted for the Venu because of the screen. The Venu has been a good watch but I found that a pretty screen wasn’t important to me. Taking advantage of all of it features I find the battery doesn’t last as long as my old Vivoactive and the screen can be harder to see in sunlight. This winter I also had trouble with the buttons when running in sub freezing temperatures. Thales several presses of the buttons. I think the more pronounced buttons on the Forerunner might be more functional. For me the Forerunner would have been a better decision. With a better battery they might fixed the issues with the Venu. I love the Garmin app and they are constantly updating software. I burrowed an Apple Watch for a few days but the feel on my wrist and having to charge it everyday makes me stay with Garmin. The sports portion of the Apple Watch is lacking. Thanks for your review. I always check your review out. Will be “watching” for any upcoming new Forerunner watches. I might update quicker this time.launch

Two users independently report that selecting elliptical activity mode on the Venu 2S stops step tracking, even though normal watch mode and the original Venu 2 track steps correctly in the same scenario.

Would anyone know why the venu 2s doesn't track steps while in elliptical activity mode. It tracks steps while in normal watch mode but when i select elliptical it doesn't track steps. Funny thing is that i tried the elliptical mode on the venu 2 and it does track steps. I'm trying to get some ideas as to how to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.launch

Desfit i have a question. So i noticed with the venu 2s that when i select elliptical and work out in doesn't track steps. Now if i have the watch on normal mode it tracks steps without going into any specific activity while on the elliptical. I get on the elliptical on my venu 2 and go into elliptical activity and it does track my steps . I'm not sure which setting is off on the venu 2s that won't allow steps to be tracked while on elliptical. Any ideas would be truly appreciated. Thankslaunch

Hey ! I loved the vid 😀 but i have a question about battery Life in venu2. I have 8.11 system version installed and after fully 100% charged it shows only 8days instead of 11 (like garmin says). How about you and the rest of venu2 owners ? Is it normal to stay only 8 days with No activities with 8.11 system or mine has battery issues ? No AOD, pulseox night only, autobrightness and i wear it 24/7launch

Damn it, never knew it will be this hard to choose a watch! I recently got me a HRM pro chest monitor, and wanted to buy me a garmin watch. The Venu 2 seems to be my dream watch, but the current price puts me off. Is it worth the upgrade over original Venu? Certainly the battery life on Venu is a big minus...launch

i was interested, until you mentioned that there are no microphone and speakers. then i thought that the price might reflect that. but it doesn't. there is no way to justify 400$ for a watch that cannot accept a call when your hands are tight - that is a great selling point for most of these devices.launch

Unlike the older Vivoactive 3, the Venu 2 lacks an orientation setting to mirror button placement for opposite-wrist wear, forcing an awkward reach to press buttons.

Great summry, thanks! It helped me decide to make the jump and buy one. I just switched to the Venu 2 from the Vivoactive 3, and there is one feature I miss. In addition to setting which wrist I wear the watch, the Vivoactive also had an \"orientation\" setting to switch on which side the button is. This allowed me to wear the watch on my right wrist with the button on the left, so it's a real mirror of wearing it on the left wrist. For some reason, this is not available on the Venu 2. I don't understand why this is not available. It could be supported with remapping the button functions. I miss it, because no I have to \"reach over\" with my left hand to press the buttons.launch

What I don't get (and for some reason, no one talks about this ever) is why the animation on the watch is so choppy. For example at 11:41 when you select a new watch face it takes a noticeable time to render it. The original Venu didn't have a GPU, but with Venu 2 having a GPU, having choppy animations is just so weird in 2021 (what with people using 120 hz phone displays and thinking 90 hz is choppy)launch

Great video. I love my Garmin watches and would want to use this with the display always on. It's just a bit of a hassle to PLUG it in ever night or two. Why can't they add wireless charging so you can just set it on a charger like the Samsung watches. Sooo much easier.launch

I have had the Venu 2s for almost 2 months now & really like it. One thing puzzles me & it is the stress data. Do you find the stress #’s to be accurate & reliable? I ask because mine always seems to be poor & don’t know why. No worries are keeping me up at night for example (knock on wood!)
