I've found the GT1000 seems to be focused on producing really great tones much more akin to the sounds you get with an amp in the room. I've not switched on my real amps since I got the GT1000, through my monitor speakers it sound incredible as good as an amp in the room. The boss amp Models which aren't directly modelled on real amps sound amazing. For me I prefer it over the line 6 helix I had for a couple of years, it produces the tones I want with significantly less effort that the helix. \n\nThe screen is designed so that it can be seen easily in full daylight, so although it isn't as 'fancy' looking as some of its competitors but it's very very functional. In the same way as I can easily read my Kindle paperwhite in full daylight with no effort, whereas it would be extremely difficult to do that with a tablet/laptop or phone even with a top-end expensive screen.launch

this was brilliant to have the female lead guitarist explained what the boss gt 1000 core is capable of. in 1 minute and 21 seconds she explained why i will definitely buy a boss gt 1000 core. the host scientifically explained all the features of this wonderful machine like she made it.i own a krog pandora box with lots of effects i believe my model has 128. this one has more and 250 custom presets with 250 you can make you're own this machine i must have for my fender and other guitar to hear all these effects i want to play. ah i digress i have my grocery list of boss items super chorus, delay, reverb, loop system, trembolo and the gt 1000 core. excellent presentation. i recently picked up the boss gt 1000 on Thursday 5/20 1134 am and played it for over 4 hours and it was everything I expected and more compared to my krog pandora box. a must have for professional and novice guitar players and it's upgradable from the micro USB port from boss content.launch

You guys have been missing out on the Power of the GT-1000s output select. It's the only modeller I know that can be plugged into an Amp and reshape the amp and cab to sound like a different amp in cab. In the room. Others just make it sound like a Mic'd amp playing through another amp. But I was able to use my GT 1000 to make my Fender Deluxe sound like My Vox AC15 and vice versa in the room. I went back and forth and got them close to identical.\n\nIn comparison The Helix is kind of a joke.launch

I went and bought one after hearing it\nnice piece of kit 🎸👍 Its been great for live gigs through the PA just come out the Mono and into the other mono and your away\nI like using the Patches after you click the 2 buttons to the right that say Manuel mode👍 Really good soundslaunch

12:50 this is actually the best demo on youtube on how you can use the core in a gig situation. I've been trying to decide if I should get the full-fat or the core, and the only thing that kept me from buying the core was the number of footswitches. This part of the demo clears all my doubts. You can basically assign each song to a patch, and you can have two sounds even in the memory mode. If you need 3 different sounds in a song, you can hit the 2 buttons at the same time to go into manual mode. That's more than I'll ever need for each song. Thanks Tom.\n\n(Actually, is it SIX different sounds in manual mode? coz you have 3 buttons but 2 states on each button)launch

No only one delay block has all the choices. There’s only one reverb block. 4 other blocks have to be simple delays. 4 blocks gave to be EQs. And two have to be noise gates… 2 have to be amp sims - so way less flexible than suggested. Also it’s micro usb which often doesn’t work as it can’t be a cable with charging capacity - only data. Shocking lack of updates and NO it doesn’t have all the RV500 nor does it have all the DD500. No where near. But it does sound fabulous,runs off batteries, less amp requirements that competitors. Has clear simple screen.launch

Bought this over the holidays. This thing rocks. It takes a little to get used to the user platform but after you get accustomed to it, it is very intuitive. Most of the patches in this are......eh at best but once you start making your own sounds it really takes a mind of its own. It also takes pedals extremely well🤘🏼launch
