Multiple commenters who own original TB-303s, RE-303s, and other clones say the TD-3-SR is one of the few products that faithfully replicates the resonance-squelch of the original 303, aside from the 1:1 RE-303. Some feel it lacks a bit of low-end grit compared to their yellow unit, fixable with saturation, but overall consider it excellent value for the price for making acid house.

The sequencer has a steep learning curve but rewards persistence.
