I have 1I do like it The only negative I can think of is Every time the electricity goes out or I have to reboot ITIT wants to spin around So My lamp is in the way And multiple other things are in the way so I have to move all the stupid things out of the way Before it can Start functioning again and then I never let it move I wish I could disable Move it move it the motion I know I disabled the motion But it still does it When it is rebooted.launch

Now I see why people are complaining that when they turn it off it moves , sometimes considerably , and that's do to no locks for the moving part and maybe it's not on a level surface . I too think the display should be mounted on top of the speaker , doing it that way would probably be easier on the motors and make it not miss a beat on tracking , also it probably would sound betterlaunch

The movement of the screen is jerky and irritating. Fortunately, you can turn it off. Overall, I plan to trade it in for the next Echo I buy.launch

The device isn't compatible with some third-party wireless cameras like ADC, tracking during live view can aim off-target, and there's no night vision or automatic recording during live view calls.

Thanks! I couldn't figure out how to use the security camera feature. Mine doesn't follow me very well it usually aims off to the left of where I'm standing. It was $162.00 during Prime Day, and will probably be cheaper on Black Friday. Not a bad device.launch

I just bought one of these on Cyber Monday. Reg price $249, got it for $169. That's the only reason I bought it. Pretty cool piece of tech. I set it up to my security system and it runs everything except the cameras. Which is the main thing I wanted to use. We watch the dog when she goes out to do her business. This unit is not compatible with our ADC wireless cameras. Wyze is the preferred choice, but already having 5 cameras not adding more at this time.launch

Actually it does record video just not when you are using the live view. Just say Alexa record a video. I agree with your cons. No night vision, the screen doesn’t tilt automatically, and it cannot record video during live view.launch

I bought one on november when i got it it says i got till november on 2024 to return it or replace it its already acting up was making my ring doorbell not to sound on it or giving me notifications i find out when i start testing fallowing a trace when we disconected the doorbell start working with no problem we did a master reset it work for couple of days but start doing the same we contact amazon and they want it to send me a refurbish unit i told them no i told them i got it new so why i need to get a refurbish one they told me that all they can do it make me angry because my wife loves the unit but is not working properly so now we are going to return it i do not recomend itlaunch

Don't buy unless you want advertisements always and it never shuts up. that's what this device does basically. continuously splashes advertisements all day. it's ashamed that you buy a device to do what you need and all it wants to do is bug you with advertisements with stuff you already purchased. I use mine for showing my ring cameras and turn on lights and tv. but looking to change my whole smart home. It's not right to pay for advertisementslaunch
